The old fork has the crown race molded in. The new headset will come with a crown race which you hammer on your new fork with a PVC or metal pipe about 2" in diameter.

Glad I could inspire! Room to hang lights and accessories is what first drew me to BMX bars. But once fitted I decided to go the opposite route and minimize accessories.

Different headsets will be different heights. A flat top headset like stock might be 30mm tall and a cone shaped one might be 50mm tall. Definitely need to cut it to the headset YOU buy.
