It was promised by my lbs with battery cover so i ordered it. It arrived without one so the shop ordered one in for me at no cost. You will have to order the cover separately to match the colour of your bike.

Hi Stefan. I purchased a spare battery for my Vado 3. I have done several 100km+ rides. I take the spare in a bag on the rack. Works well.

Its interesting you have had so many issues with them. My 2017 vado has now done 13000km on the original motor never been serviced. I know its due for one before it hits 15000km. I wonder if its how we are riding our bikes putting to much strain on the motor. Myself i like to ride with a higher...

Its handy having a CnC machine at work! Yes the holes were countersunk with M5 screws to the frame. Mine screws fitted fine with no play. The two holes to mount the lock are 5mm tapped in the plate. Worked really well.

Ok 2017 Vado 3 now have 11000km on it. No motor problems at all. Will need a service at 15000km. Very happy with this bike.

So had the response back from my LBS. 'Specialized are aware of this issue and there will be a software update to fix the issue in the near future' Since the two years having the bike there has been a few issues but to Specialized credit they seem to get addressed.

Cant say I noticed any difference in the trip meter and odo. Im more than happy with the performance of the Vado and plan to keep it for a long time. I will let you know when i get an answer back.

Ok so have done 10000km now! Bit of an achievment thats the good news. The bad news is the display stays on 9999. Thats disapppointing.Had to go into mission control app to see the real distance. I have asked my LBS to ask the question what can be done????

Yes the 3 has been downgraded. I have 2018 vado 3 and was looking for the same spec bike for the wife this year. We also went with the Vado 4 as its almost the same spec as mine.

Yes the Vado comes with fenders - a must in the rain. I do have a trail setup as well which I take the fenders off.
