well, it took me two days of trying to sort it out but i finally got it. seems that i'd been messing w/ the advanced settings and changed the number of magnets in the motor from 20 to 26. changed it back and everything's swell. operator error, as per usual. but ... thanks for your suggestions!

well, i micro soldered my own quadcopters together before dji was dji but that's also before my hands developed the shakes, so ... not so handy no more. maybe i'll just ditch the magnum and get another ride1up. since the M cost a bunch more than the R, i might be able to do an even swap, money...

i love plasti dip. used it to change the color of my surfboard. stayed stuck down like a champ. and then when i got tired of the color, i just peeled it off and started afresh. bingo bango easy. guess trainman has had a different experience, so, obviously, ymmv.
