TRANZX LOGIX anyone familiar with using this Software?

Although it doesn't mention the controller, the manual warns against using another battery that was not included with the bike. I'm not sure exactly what information you need regarding the display or motor, but here are some pictures from the iZip manual and a diagnostic PDF file for the...

Converting my Cannondale to an e-Bike

I have a 500w front hub motor kit on the Mongoose. Although I really love the bike, if I had to buy a kit again I would get a mid-drive. On hard surfaces the front drive is perfect but on gravel or sand, when using the throttle to start off, the front wheel spins. It's a small annoyance, and if...

Why is it rare for an e-bike to have more than one chain-ring?

My 21 speed mongoose has three chainrings. Before adding the motor, I used the two largest ones, but never the smallest one. Now I almost never use the center one. In fact, I sometimes feel like I'm peddling too fast in the highest gear, so I'm thinking of replacing the largest chainring with...

Is this too good to be true?

Their links to social media sites go to the sign-in page and not to their own page. If they are scammers, they did a pretty good job on the website. English is also correct. Their list of bikes and brands is pretty long though. 🤔

    Suspension seat post - Kinekt

Late last fall I received the Shock Stop seat post that was ordered through Kickstarter and reviewed it in another thread. A couple months ago I bought a second one for the Mongoose and because of the winter weather was unable to install or try it out until yesterday. After an 8 mile ride, I...

Riding No Handed Over 50 or 60

On occasion, I have ridden the Mongoose with no hands, but only under certain conditions, and not for very long. It is a stable bike with enough front-end weight. I wouldn't dare do it with the Evelo. Court likes to video action shots like suspension seat posts at work and motor noise while...

Used Izip for $800 or Bafang kit + Masi converted into E-bike for 1300??

I guess it would depend on which model year the iZip is. If it is a 2016 or earlier model, I would pass on it. My wife rides a 2016 iZip E3 Vibe+. The only problems we have had is that the motor malfunctioned after about a year and was replaced under warranty. We had a very good experience with...

Incredible Bicycle Balancing Competition - Germany (must see video!)

Amazing sense of balance. I wonder how many times she has fallen. Broken bones? Bruises? Nothing??? It's not like she can practice on a mat like gymnasts. 🤔

Will 20$/ barrel oil, 1$ /gallon stop people from buying an ebike ?

Low oil and gas prices won't last long. The oil companies won't allow it. ⛽

Using a leaf blower to dry bike

I don't have to hose down our bikes, but I have found many uses for a cordless leaf blower. It is one of my favorite outdoor tools. If you own your home it is a great, inexpensive investment. And it will even dry your bike. ;)

    Battery Slipping

Did you call Raleigh or write to them? I had a very good experience with them two years ago, but handled it by phone.

    Indiegogo, Kickstarter, Crowd Funding???

Contributions are really deposits for a product that is promised in the foreseeable future. For being an early project "backer", you are usually offered a discount, sometimes substantial. The discounts decrease as time goes on and there is a set number of backers allowed at each discount level...

    Ebike vs Road Bike

More police departments adopting high power 50 MPH electric bicycles

The police occasionally have to get from place to place as quickly as possible for various reasons. They are allowed to safely exceed the speed limit to get the job done. Personally, i would not want a bike that could do 50 mph. That isn't safe on streets and certainly not safe or legal on...

Ebike Sightings | What are you seeing?

In my area, I have seen only four ebikes, and they are all in my garage. I'm sure the climate has a lot to do with it. With the long winters, snow and ice, it's not conducive to biking. In warm weather I have seen several ebikes in the Adirondacks. They don't belong to the locals. Tourists bring...
