What are your plans for winter exercise? Keep riding your ebike or an exercise bike?

I don’t ride in winter, but ride a recumbent exercise bike daily. If I feel really ambitious I can use the treadmill or elliptical, but that’s rare. 😉

Chargeride, your wife has guts. It would be a cold day in hell that mine would ride a mountain trail like that. 🤤

First good crash and burn today thank you doggy.

Hope you both feel better soon. We never know what might run out in front of us- from chipmunks to deer and anything in between.

    Motorizing my old Cannondale

I have previously recommended Leeds ebike kits. So I’ll give them another plug. I have been using their 500w kit for 4 years on my hybrid Mongoose and have had no trouble with it. They also have 250w kits. https://leedsbikes.com/

Problem with 2016 Izip E3 Dash (currie/tranzX Drive train)

Sorry to hear that, Chumpy. My wife’s iZip bike just started making a low volume, scratchy, rubbing noise when she pedals. I have to ride it and do some testing to see if it’s coming from the motor.

Although the sky looked like imminent rain this morning, radar showed otherwise, so I decided to take my normal ride around the lake. The highlight was this fawn, who was standing on the opposite side of the road. I stopped directly opposite him at a distance of about 16 feet. He stayed put...

The Frey is one powerful bike with a 1.5KW motor and two batteries to feed it.

I must have mixed up the weight with another bike I was looking at. 63 lbs. is definitely not light. My Evelo weighs that much and is a bear to lift.

    Bike riding etiquette

I wave or nod to every biker and walker/jogger I pass, I would estimate that about 70% of the bikers initiate or acknowledge and all of the walkers/joggers do.

    Chainring/sprocket Upgrade

My converted Mongoose was designed as a hybrid mountain bike with 21 speeds and a 42 tooth chainring. I had found myself pedaling like a madman when going over 17 mph. I brought it to the lbs and had them replace the sprocket with a 48 tooth sprocket/chainring. What a difference! No more high...

Why so few EBike reviews on EBR?

Court, just keep doing what you do, when it's safe. I have been following along for five years. I do not know of another site that covers ebikes in-depth the way you have, and the forum is full of good people willing to share their ebike knowledge and experience. Thanks for all you have done...
