Check the battery's connection to the controller and the contacts. Also, some batteries have a fuse, which may have blown.

Tighten the thumbnut and the lever enough that you have to use some force to fully close the lever. After that the nut should not turn by hand. If it does then there is another problem.

Interesting that it's a carbon frame and they don't mention the weight.

That battery can be rebuilt fairly easily. The shop where we bought the bike replaced the cells under warranty. This way, we didn’t need a new lock and key. I would think it could be done for a lot less than $600.

I have the Shock Stop seatpost installed on both bikes and have nothing bad to say about either one.
