Ultimate 380+ Belt Tension, is this too much slack?

At $130 or more, these belts are not inexpensive but they will outlast three or more chains when properly tensioned. Personally I think for, $25, it is well worth taking the guess work out of it.

Ultimate 380+ Belt Tension, is this too much slack?

Point the bottom of your phone, where the microphone lives, at the belt just six inches away and pluck at it. It is a little less than a dependable way to measure the tension. The best way to get reproduceable, accurate readings is the Gates 91107 Krikit tensioning tool. Could be available...

    Upgrading from Cobi.bike to Nyon?

The Nyon remains securely attached to your bike, regardless of terrain, unlike the smart phone hub which is known to send your phone flying. The custom screens and custom ride modes are great. All you ride data get saved to the Bosch cloud and compiled. All in all a purpose built device is...

No local availability of e-bike I want - what to do?

Here is a good deal on a fabulous, small, carbon fiber frame ebike with excellent components and weighs just 36 lbs. Picking up a Trek Allant+ 9.9s Tomorrow

a new ebike motor can take a bit of breaking in of the internal gearing. They tend to be quieter after the first thousand miles. This is true for many different ebike motors, Bosch included. Sometimes I wonder if the sound of the motor really shifts or we just become accustomed.

No local availability of e-bike I want - what to do?

This is done quite frequently, on both sides of the pond. Ask your LBS if they will make the arrangements to have the far away bike shipped to them for assembly and fitting. It will gain them a steady customer and there is no good reason for them to say no. If they do, this is not the...
