My New Niner RLT e9 RDO!

Congratulations, John! I hope you love it! In theory I, too, struggled a bit with the wheels … particularly the somewhat odd pairing of the rim and tires. I use inner tubes and keep the pressure no higher than 50 psi, usually 45. Eventually I just forgot about it because it rides so nicely...

My New Niner RLT e9 RDO!

I have the Niner; no lights or pre-wiring. It’s been very reliable. Really, it’s quite generic. I did a fitting and changed out the stem, handlebars, and seatpost. I consider that pretty much par for the course. I also upgraded the computer. The Niner site has full specs and geometry. I...

Nyon '21 new install, weird problems.

Thank you. I guess my only point of concern is whether data is lost (i.e., won't transmit to eBike Connect) if it is cleared before a successful sync. fooferfoggie says it isn’t. I thought it was. I’ll run a test and see. As they say, Trust but confirm.

Nyon '21 new install, weird problems.

I'm still perplexed. When I go out for a ride on any given day, starting with a cleared Nyon, my ride will show up as a single ride, that is divided into multiple segments or sub-rides, if I have taken a break that was long enough for the Nyon to turn off. If I fail to reset my data, the next...

Nyon '21 new install, weird problems.

Fooferdoggie (what a name!) - I want to make sure I understand you. Are you saying that if I set the Nyon to clear the trip data every night, I won’t lose any data that has yet to he downloaded? It will still be stored in the Nyon, just not visible to me? I didn't think that was my...

Nyon '21 new install, weird problems.

I struggled with Bluetooth syncing. It would work flawlessly at times, then have periods of repeated failures. I finally just gave up on it. At the end of my ride, I sync via wifi, either at home or with my phone configured as a wifi hotspot. That always works. I haven’t seen this mentioned...

    Nyon MY21 - Initial Thoughts

I, too, was disappointed at first by the lack of charging capability, although the specifications and manual never identified it as a charging port. I just assumed it was. But given that the Nyon navigates independently, I don't need to charge my phone on a day-ride. I keep it in my frame bag...

    Nyon MY21 - Initial Thoughts

I just went through a frustrating period getting my HR monitor (Polar Verity) to connect to the Nyon. I think I sorted it out. Here is my experience: When I first got the Nyon, the Polar connected flawlessly ... but at that point, I was not connected to my iPhone, as I hadn't yet figured out...

    Nyon MY21 - Initial Thoughts

I believe that the full conversion kit (from basic displays like the Purion) include the wiring harness. This does not, as the Nyon and the Kiox use the same harness back to the motor.

    Nyon MY21 - Initial Thoughts

Nyon Bluetooth Connection Woes - Solved! Over the past month, I've struggled mightily with the Nyon Bluetooth connection to my phone. The Nyon connects to my heart rate monitor flawlessly, but would often fail to connect to my phone, or randomly (so it seemed) disconnect. I went through the...

    Nyon MY21 - Initial Thoughts

Update: After hours of fiddling, I might have come up with a work-around to my route planning woes. First off, I believe the issue is caused by small sections of the route that are unknown. And when I say small, I mean small ... like 143 feet! The Nyon is fairly tightly coupled with Komoot...

    Nyon MY21 - Initial Thoughts

The new Nyon MY21 was installed on my computer this week. I'd like to give a shout-out to Ravi Kempaiah who made it his personal project to get that computer on my bike. Thank you, Ravi! The Bosch Nyon is, by far, the best bike computer I have ever used. It's elegant, intuitive, and robust...

    It's Called A Click-Stand

When I first got my bike, I used my husband's Click-Stand with a 30" attachment point and a medium cradle. It worked just fine. But I agonized when it came time to order mine. I had installed a frame bag that obstructed access to the top tube and wasn't confident that I would keep my rear...

    It's Called A Click-Stand

I don’t lose them. They just live on the downturned part of the handlebar and are unnoticeable, yet there when I need them. I prefer the Leki hiking pole rubber feet. They’re beefier. But I have the max version of the click-stand.

My New Niner RLT e9 RDO!

I, too, have been thinking of a second battery, particularly for touring. I have a rear rack, so carrying it shouldn’t be a problem. The Niner is front suspension compatible, and my husband is trying to convince me to get a Thudbuster seat post. So far, I haven’t felt the need for any of it...

My New Niner RLT e9 RDO!

Alaskan - I, too, looked at the Topstone Neo Carbon, but opted against it due of its lack of rack-mount fitments. It’s a beautiful, refined bike. What made you choose it over the Niner? Are you loving it? I sometimes worry about the longevity of Niner as a company. The good news is that this...

Yes! And if I understand correctly, you’re in Greenville ... almost local. May I call you at the Pedego phone number? I don’t see an option for direct messaging on this site.

Thank you! One more thing ... can you tell me about the front handlebar mount in that picture?

My New Niner RLT e9 RDO!

HI Alaskan, Thanks for that update. I’ve ordered the Nyon conversion kit from my LBS. The Purion is abysmal. The original estimate of a March delivery just morphed into an August delivery. Patience is a virtue. Where did you buy your Nyon?
