Hitch rack for bikes with fenders

Same issue as OP. I converted my vintage Cannondale to electric and it weighs over 50 lbs. I have an Lectric on order for the wife and it has a fender so I have the same issues as the OP. I need a rack that can support two +50 lbs bikes (over 100 lbs combined) and one that has a fender. After...

Thule Easy Fold tail lights, License mount and backup camera

Ok I finished the backup camera install today. Took more CF scrap and made a simple post that I attached with some stainless M5 bolts. Then I used 3M Dual Post velcro (very strong, holds tight) so I can remove it when I take the rack off. I extended the camera wire 24" so it could reach to the...

Thule Easy Fold tail lights, License mount and backup camera

Regarding the license plate holder, The Thule Easy Fold provides a spot that is basically two holes in the plastic of the bottom handle. I guess it works but I wanted some stronger and more thief resistant. I bought a fiber reinforced frame and mounted it using four bolts and some aluminum...

Thule Easy Fold tail lights, License mount and backup camera

I just recently converted one of my bikes to electric and I have a Lectric XP on order for the wife. These bikes weigh over 50 lbs each and my old Hollywood rack couldn't handle the weight safely. I decided on the Thule Easy Fold for a couple of reasons, it had to support heavy Ebikes, I wanted...

    Classic Cannondale Super V conversion

Yup standard BaFang electric conversion 68-73mm bottom bracket. The motor fit perfectly and the only issue I had was that I had to mount the battery under the down tube (using rivet nuts) because it wouldn't fit on the top tube (too long). One benefit of this is the center of gravity is lower.

    Classic Cannondale Super V conversion

I put my bike on the scale and with the battery it weighted about 48 lbs.

    Classic Cannondale Super V conversion

I am running a Lefty Max fork and there is no interference between the wheel and battery. I have about 1" of clearance at full compression (fork cap off, spring out, fully compressed).

    Classic Cannondale Super V conversion

I also have a 36t bling ring, but for now the 46t is working ok.

    Classic Cannondale Super V conversion

Normally I use three 1" or two 2" cincher straps. Only shows one in the picture because I was just testing/tuning stuff. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Classic Cannondale Super V conversion

I am a big fan of the classic Cannondale Super V's. I owned several and currently own three Super V frames circa 1990-2000 and a Jekyll. I have wanted to buy an ebike for a while but I wanted a full suspension bike and the name brands start around $3k which is out of my budget, then the more...

    New to the forum

Hi, new to the forum but I have been biking since I was a kid (I am now in my 60's). I run vintage Cannondales and have two Super V's and a Jekyll. I just converted one of the Super V's to an Ebike using the Bafand 750watt conversion kit and I love it.
