    Cannondale Topstone Gravel Ebike

Why would you not use the Lefty when it was designed and engineered for the Topstone? It gets very good reviews and seems that everyone says it does a good job for what it is intended for. Seems the travel of the Rock Shox is a hair bit more in one option or the same so I don't see a big...

    Cannondale Topstone Gravel Ebike

I checked with Redshift and they say it is fine to use with a fork. Here is the stuff from their website if anyone is interested.

Thanks - I have the Redshift on the bike now and figure this will help with harder hits. I appreciate the response.

    Cannondale Topstone Gravel Ebike

Has anyone added a Lefty fork (700) to a Topstone that did not come with it? I am planning on adding the 700 Oliver fork to my Neo 2 and other than a new wheel hub was wondering what else I may need? Thanks!

V brake ok on an ebike?

Depends on what you are doing and where. Here in WV on large steep down hills, I will stick with discs. I have had v brakes on non electric bikes not produce enough stopping power on long steep downhills. Adding the weight from an Ebike would only make it worse.

How do you store your bike?

" I've heard brakes that use mineral oil can leak out if stored 90 degrees." If the brake systems works as designed this is not an issue. For the system to work it has to be 100% sealed and if it leaks that would mean it is not sealed and pressure would not be able to be built up so stopping...

Check with your insurance agent if you're looking to insure...

Our agent ended up having write them as motorcycle policies based on the information from the underwriter. This way we have full coverage on all three bikes for around $300ish a year. Considering what we pay for cars around here that didn't seem too bad to be full covered.

A LSEB is truly defined as a bicycle / 3-class ebikes not same & voluntary

I do not mean this in an insulting way - What exactly is the problem? Why do we care they have a 3 system rating for the bikes? Around where I live it is not a real big deal so I was just wondering?

    Hydraulic Brake Troubles

Got ya - presumed you had disks. My bad. If one side is moving and not the other that is most likely where the issue is. Follow what RCCARGUY said and that should help resolve the issue.

    Hydraulic Brake Troubles

Should have mentioned - carefully look at your brake and slowly pull in your brake lever and see if the pads are both moving inward and contacting the rotor. If they both move in and contact the rotor at the normal point in the levers movement that helps rule out issues with pad hanging up on...

    Hydraulic Brake Troubles

Hydraulic lines won't freeze as long as you have no moisture in the lines. Maybe worth changing the fluid if you have 3100 miles as it is due.

Be honest... are color LCD displays just a bad idea for riding in sunlight?

Seems to depend of the display and the angle to the sun. I cant say I noticed any issues but I just glance at mine now and then so I have not noticed an issue with it. If you prefer to look at it all the time then maybe it would be more noticeable too some.

    Pedal assist

I personally feel the any of the top manufacturers mid-drives are excellent. I have 2 Specialized, 1 Yamaha and 1 Bosch - all are smooth quality drive systems. Each has a different "feel". The Specialized is the smoothest, the Yamaha come on stronger and quicker with more snap, and the Bosch...

    Cannondale Topstone Gravel Ebike

I bought the Neo 2 so that is why I thought the stem/seatpost maybe worth a shot. I put one on my wife's Como 4 and she really seems to like it. Honestly it is really easy to setup and only takes a few minutes. They now have a PRO version out that is a bit lighter than the regular one. They...

    Cannondale Topstone Gravel Ebike

Has anyone added a Redshift suspension Seatpost to a Topstone. I ordered the stem and figured the Seatpost may complement it well.

    Cannondale Topstone Gravel Ebike

Thanks Alaskan. I have an outward Bound trail light (https://www.outboundlighting.com/products/trail-evo) I was thinking about putting on it. The light is impressive - super bright, incredible build quality and I love the flash mode for road riding. I would however love it to hardwire and...
