    Greetings from Melbourne, Australia

Welcome. I almost purchased the Giant Quick-E myself. It was one of the finalist for my first ebike. Time will tell if I made the right decision. The Giant definitely felt fast. It's a class 3 here in the states with a top speed of 45 kph. I look forward to reading your thoughts on the Quick-E...

    Winter doldrums

Enjoyed reading this thread. I purchased my first ebike in December of 2018. I've only ridden it about a dozen times but it's been blast. Yesterday was a beautiful weather and my ebike was at the dealer getting the headlight and walk mode enabled. The dealer couldn't understand why I would want...

What was the coldest ride of your life?

Did a short 6 mile ride this past week at 3F. Stayed warm except my feet and mustache freezing up. The minimum operating temperature for the ebike is 15F so I rode my old bike. Overall the ride wasn’t bad except for taking what felt like 30 minutes finding all of my cold weather gear and getting...

    What's your mileage? (I hit 4900mi on 12-31-18) 1yr, 5mo. 9 days

Yeah it's killing me seeing my ebike just sitting there waiting for spring to arrive. I've only managed about 200 miles this winter so far on the ebike. The coldest weather hit us this week. The polar vortex! Lol. I just went for a frigid walk last night. I did get the mountain bike out last...

Trek Verve vs. Juiced CrossCurrent S

My Bike has the walk mode turned off and lights always on. I talked with my dealer about about updating my bike to enable the walk mode. Just have't had time to get it back to the dealer yet. If you're in the right gear and mode it will take off quickly. I've used sport and turbo to get out of...

Trek Verve vs. Juiced CrossCurrent S

Love my Verve and got it on sale for $2,100. We have a good local Trek dealer so that pushed me toward the Verve. Also considered the Giant Quicke but the cost was more and I wasn't really concerned about the class 3 speed. Just needed help with the hills. CCS & CCX look like good bikes but I...

Considerable amount of E-bike brands, discounting their mid drive models

I never thought about hub drives this way but your right. I recently purchased a Bosch mid drive and I'm worried 3-4 years from now if I'll be able to get parts. It's kinda scary jumping into the ebike market and wondering if companies will around in a few years. That's one of the reason I went...

Wow! Nice sweet ride. How do you like the thudbuster?

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

It is a Verve. I have never fully drained the battery but I'm guessing about 50 miles using mostly eco/tour mode. It's winter so the range may increase with warmer temps. I've only put 150 miles on it so far. Some more testing is needed. Can't wait to do a truly long ride on it. We've had a lot...

Rode down to the Ky river along the palisades. One of my favorite rides but it is hilly. The ebike has largely made the hills disappear. Love this bike.

First 280 miles with my new Trek Verve+: LOVE IT!!!

Same here. Jones bar and rear rack. I’ve now got over 100 miles on the Verve and I love this bike. Seems like a really solid package Trek has put together for a reasonable price. I made a 14 mile commute to the store today and averaged 16 mph. I normally average 13 mph on the Verve but the...

KineKT Body Float Post - Rider Weight

Thanks. The weather looks good this weekend so I'll really give it a good workout. I weight in the 215 - 225 lbs range depending on the season. I can easily bottom out the seat post with my full weight. This is with my hands off the the handlebar and my feet on the ground though. When I'm...

KineKT Body Float Post - Rider Weight

I just backed off the preload and rode down the driveway and it felt much better. Apparently when you’re pedaling you’re not placing your full weight on the seat post. It felt awful with the preload cranked way up. Some more experimentation is needed.

KineKT Body Float Post - Rider Weight

Just received the Kineckt Bodyfloat seat post and I’m kind of disappointed. I weigh no where near 260 lbs and it’s bottoming out. I’m increasing the preload but there’s not much travel left. Feels like a half inch travel left. I’m I doing something wrong or do I need to keep increasing the...

    What's your mileage? (I hit 4900mi on 12-31-18) 1yr, 5mo. 9 days

I've only had the Verve a couple of weeks but I've put about 50 miles on it. Weather hasn't been great as it's winter here. My goal this year is 2,000+ miles. My riding has fallen off the last couple of years but this bike has reinvigorated me. I want to start commuting again. The 30 mile round...

    New CCX Pictures

I tried a brooks saddle with springs and unfortunately found it painful. It also had an annoying squeak I couldn’t get rid of. They are beautiful though. I probably didn’t give it enough time to break in.

Amazing miles. I hope to do half that many for 2019. Just hit 1,000 miles this year. Many of those were off road though. Have a great year everyone.

    First Ebike test ride today.

I paid about $2,000 for my ebike. It assists to 20 mph which it plenty for me. I often exceed 20 mph going downhill so the the extra assistance isn’t needed. I just needed help climbing. If I lived in a flat area I might have chosen differently. If I wanted a class 3 ebike it would have cost...

    Choosing first ebike

After a couple of test rides I went with the Verve. I got a discount and there’s a good network of dealers nearby. The great warranty gives me piece of mind. The motor seems plenty for the hills if you’re in the right gear. I definitely feel faster than my non assisted bike. The motor is a...
