I agree but some of the poorly rated lubes should be avoided IMO. I doubt the testing is so bad that it can't identify lubes that don't work well

ZFC is a brand of chain lube. Do you really think their tests are going to be "much better" than independent testing? LOL

You keep posting w/o actually having viewed the test. I'm not "forgetting" that o-ring chains are different than conventional chains and neither does the test. Actually the tests do ineed indicate how well the lube gets inside the chain where it's needed. Post up your better bike lube tests please.

The fact that the chains were not actually on a bicycle doesn't completely discredit the results of the testing. Did you watch th video? There's some pretty high tech tests being done that you just can't throw out the window because the chains weren't on a bike... All test results are "moot" ???

The dry lubes performed poorly in the tests.. Yeah I know it's not "real world" testing

Actually, I understand the limitations of the testing quite well and until someone comes up with a better test, it's all we've got. For sure there are chain lubes that out perform other chain lubes even if this guys testing doesn't mimic real life riding conditions it's a pretty good effort on...

If you actually took the time to view the test video you'd see that the Maxima chain wax was one of the top performers for keeping the chain clean. The guy throws sand on a metal plate after lubing and sees what sticks for all the lubes. Also it's one of the top performers for corrosion...

FWIF, maxima chain wax gave the best average results out of 54 lubes tested on the test posted above.

Disagree. The maxima chain wax goes on/in thin then dries to a waxy surface. This seals in the lube. Wax may not be better than oil but wax AND oil is a great combination

I'm telling you, that maxima chain wax is almost magic. You get the lubricity of oil but the clean waxy coating of parrafin all in one product. The best part is there is no need to remove your chain and this stuff doesn't fling off at all

I use Maxima chain wax. Same lube I use on my motorcycle chain. I get at least 2,000mi. from 10 speed shimano and Yamaha PW mid drive

I measured close to .5% after 2,100mi. on my 10 speed chain. I'm happy with that. Replaced it just to try and be nice to the cassette... LBS guy told me to replace the chain every year. Might be good advice for someone who rides 2,000mi. a year I guess. I average 500mi. a year so 4 years before...
