Help me narrow down my bike choices

The Rad Wagon is built to carry an extra 100lbs more weight than most bikes, so the extra ~20lbs of the bike becomes irrelevant. It might cut down the ability to hill climb slightly, but again, we're talking about 20 extra pounds (or 25, depending on the bike you choose). To me, that's not a...

bike platform rack for 4 ebikes

Bah, I don't have a truck. 1 1/4" hitch...that won't work. Maybe I could McGuyver it, put 4 ebikes on the back and do wheelies with the Prius :).

bike platform rack for 4 ebikes

    But will that hold 200lbs+?

bike platform rack for 4 ebikes

According to Thule, they have no products that 'officially' support 4 ebikes. In fact, the only rack that they will officially recommend for ebikes is their Easyfold rack (which holds 2), due to the weight of the ebikes...

    Hub Motor Vs Mid-drive comparison

How do you calculate human watts vs machine watts? If I'm looking at the display on my bike and it says 250w, is that combined or just the bike motor?

Which battery will give me longer range?

I ended up going with the Luna Cycle 48v Panasonic 13.5ah Dolphin. Should get me about 16% more range than my current battery, although I'll probably carry both so I can spoil myself with a high amount of pedal assist and have peace of mind that I won't run out of juice. Thanks for the help, folks!

    52v battery?

Has anyone tried a 52v battery with their RadPower bike? This one looks like it will fit: http://lunacycle.com And here they talk about 52v vs. 48v batteries, and how controllers for 48v should work for 52v, with 'should' being the operative word. I'm not too excited about the possibility of...

I test rode my RadWagon first since I live nearby, but it only confirmed my feeling that these are well-made bikes with good quality components (not premium, but good), at an amazing price for what you get. I'm putting 100 miles/week on mine with no regrets.

Which battery will give me longer range?

Yeah that's what I've been thinking too - either get a triangle pack, or just carry a spare battery. Riding to work in heavy wind today was killing my speed, and I have to keep it in the lowest pedal assist to make the battery last, and another ebiker went whizzing by me. Made me so envious!

Big Man, What and When to Buy

He really should add the rest of the cargo bikes to that guide...they're all high capacity bikes. Side note: haven't figured out why the Faraday bikes are in the cargo bike section. Sure you can put a rack on the back, but that's true of any bike. Head-scratcher.
