NEW Juiced Models: Rip Current, and Cross Current X; Tariff Pricing Announced

I’d take “firmware upgrade” with a grain of salt. I don’t recall seeing any bike from Juiced that had a subsequent firmware update after initial release. Regarding the CCSx controller output power, 1300w is a ton of power for a controller that has almost no way dissipating heat. I’m betting...

Front light that can run from intuvia micro USB port

There is not a lot of power to be had from the USB port on the Intuvia. There is so little power from the display, that it sometimes is not enough to charge a large display phone that is running its screen on full brightness. Depending on what model year your bike is, there is a dedicated...

    40 mile round trip commute

if the throttle use above 20mph is an absolute necessity, you’re going to be looking at DIY or a non street legal bike from Luna Cycle or possibly a JuicedBike HF1000. I have a somewhat comparable commute profile, 17 miles with 200 ft or less elevation gain. My semi-DIY fatbike commuter will...

    40 mile round trip commute

How fast do you want to ride? A 21 mile commute is doable on a 400wh battery at mid to low assist levels, any faster and a 500wh battery or larger would be required.

Upper battery mount - missing screw and cracked

That upper battery mount is a common part used by a number of manufacturers. The mount on my JuicedBike cracked in the exact same place. It would be nice to see if a company could injection mold their own battery mount made of a stronger plastic.

Installed a Rock Shox on my Trek XM700+

This fork has attachment points on the crown and stanchions for fenders. Some companies like Bulls use this shock as OEM for their commuter bikes. I installed one of these forks on my Haibike Trekking and it was totally worth it.

    Helmet lights

I think you should check out Exposure Lights if you're doing actual night MTB riding. A bar mounted light used with a smaller helmet mounted light seems to be the consensus for best performance. If you're sharing a trail with oncoming bikers or doing urban riding, consider looking at lights...

HF1000 after 3k miles - thoughts and opinions

I'll have some first hand input as a friend of mine is going to get a CCS X as a second ebike. I'm interested to hear his thoughts on how the CCS X is compared to his current Bosch powered Bulls Daily Grinder.

HF1000 after 3k miles - thoughts and opinions

You're probably better off with the Haibike SDuro if it's your first ebike setup. The overall problem, at least with my primary use case being commuting, I need almost 100% reliability. I'm not slamming JuicedBikes, but the HF1000 in its stock form didn't work out well for me. The one...

    Replacement tire

You'll probably want to look at Surley Larry tires or Surley Knard with a 27tpi casing and wire bead. Failing that, look at Vee tire Speedsters or Chicane in 72tpi.

HF1000 after 3k miles - thoughts and opinions

It started out as a Juiced Bike HF1000 that I received in December of 2017. As of this post it has almost 3000 miles and has been going strong ever since getting rid of the stock controller. Overall, I tried to make this the ultimate commuter bike, even though JB markets the HF1000 as a high...

    New Juiced Hyper Fat: HF1100 40 mph, Sept 2018 $3,299 Pre-Order

It will all fit in the same spot as the Phaserunner is smaller than the stock controller. Attached is a parts list, but keep in mind I already had crimp tools for Anderson connectors and JST-SM. The other thing is that the GrinTech unit won’t be compatible with the Juiced Bike cadence sensor...

    New Juiced Hyper Fat: HF1100 40 mph, Sept 2018 $3,299 Pre-Order

Yep, I didn’t even bother to put the replacement controller in. I got a Grin Tech Phaserunner in it now. It’s awesome.

    New Juiced Hyper Fat: HF1100 40 mph, Sept 2018 $3,299 Pre-Order

I had to bug them for two weeks, but they eventually sent me a new controller at no cost.

Adding an LCD Display to a Juiced OceanCurrent?

I managed to fit it inside the frame with some room to spare. your down tube dimensions on the OC might be different in length but not width compared to the HF1000. I can measure the downtube on mine to have a point of comparison. If Juiced buys the same down tubes for every bike, which they...

Adding an LCD Display to a Juiced OceanCurrent?

When you decide to mod the bike, send me a PM, I have the details on their torque/cadence sensor.

Faraday Porteur S replaced bottom bracket from TDCM sensor to NCTE sensor - poor ride.

If you notice that much of a difference after the dealer changed out the torque sensing bottom bracket, it’s likely the new part has a different resting voltage or scaling factor than the original part. Did you ask your dealer to see if there was a software upgrade to accommodate the new part?

2017 Elite with Big Ben tires: Tuffy or Slime needed?

I try to get in the habit of visually inspecting the rear tire for debris when I get to work and again when I arrive home. There’s nothing like getting back to your bike , geared up and ready to go home, only to find your tire flat.

    New Juiced Hyper Fat: HF1100 40 mph, Sept 2018 $3,299 Pre-Order

Yeah I’m surprised other HF1000 users did not report the controller issues. Removing the Juiced controller and installing the CA3 and Phaserunner was a nice upgrade, but it required the ability to solder, do wiring, and crimp connectors.
