It does not come off to the point where you can take it with you. It’s a quarter turn into a plastic receiver, but it’s still wired.

Have your LBS check your riding position, the short answer is too much pressure on your hands/wrists, but having somebody fit you to a bike is worth the effort. You don’t want one solution to cause a different problem.

While sidewall and Cof testing: I’ve laid down my bike a time or six: not yet with the Vado. It’s challenging to get the frame without hitting something: usually just handle bars and pedals. Maybe do a vinyl wrap? Much more and you can point to and tell the story.

We have a Vado 4.0 and a Como 4.0 and regularly ride a 12degree hill for roughly a mile. We’re in our 50s, not as heavy, (I am 180). it is some work, but very comfortable. I think Tim’s advice is best, it’s a big investment, probable worth the drive to trial.

I had this issue a few months ago and I too was really feeling it, but at ~17mph. the 15.5mph ~= 25kmh, which is a EU limit. I too had a firmware update, but the underlying issue is the EU limit that only the LBS can toggle off. Now I chase down and pass road bikes for sport.

Swap away, just remember to bring the keys. The battery can be tricky to get properly seated, double check it when you replace.
