I've been thinking about this toy, and by looking at how top tube lowers below the top of 20" wheel - I would say about 22" where halves of the tube join each other. This is "a little" more than a typical 17-18" step through. Hopefully somebody will measure and report. What guys were talking...

I thought both bikes had same 2.2" tire width. Not being able to adjust PAS on Aventon is discouraging, given the abundance of Chinese displays and controllers with this feature.

I think they are well built and very reasonably priced. They are also heavy, most of them. And they are online-only. Aventon (probably) have dealers in Toronto, and Amego is a dealer by itself. In terms of tushy comfort, 26" wheel with 2.3" tire will roll the same, whether you pay CAD 1,500...

Recommendations have been coming every day since the beginning of the tread :). As I already wrote, Aventon, Ride1up and RAD City are reasonably priced and are worth considering. And so is Amego.

Most anything will be better than this one. Aventon Pace 500 ~1,700 CAD, no lights or rack. Ride1Up roughly the same. RAD City ~2,000 CAD with lights and all. A bit heavy. Amego Infinite is a "shop brand" but looks good for the price and besides, they are in your area and are not an online...

The only value here is probably in the eye of beholder - for people who want to pedal on water in a bike-like fashion. Hobie pedal kayaks, albeit non electrical, are MUCH more user-friendly. Stable, easier to start, no problems with balance when stopping, you're sitting in semi-recumbent...

A US-based middleman btw Chinese bike and US consumers usually means that you'll have some support. Directly from China support is non-existing, at best you'll get an exchange or refund for DOD parts. Not that I'm a big fan of the former business model.
