Got Called a "Cheater" by Another Cyclist

Took me awhile to figure that was an option, and I had to give up many a KOM awards, but I do identify as an e-bike on Strava.

Got Called a "Cheater" by Another Cyclist

You should work on your reading comprehension if that's your takeaway from this anecdote. The entire exchange gave me a laugh, and I shared it, to give others a laugh. You missed the plot.

Got Called a "Cheater" by Another Cyclist

I ride my Rize RX regularly for exercise on the roads in my area. I usually go out for 18-40 miles rides, and I ride hard for exercise. I only ride in ECO 1, the lowest level of assist. I compete with no one and enjoy every ride like a 6 year old. I make a point to nod, wave, or say hello...

    RX - Drivetrain "Slack"

Themartymac, Thanks for the detailed reply. I'll get the bike on my work stand and check out all of your suggestions. If no results, pics will be forthcoming. I really appreciate your time & input, cheers!

    RX - Drivetrain "Slack"

No, it's pretty much on every pedal stroke on the right side.

    RX - Drivetrain "Slack"

Hello all! I have an RX with 800 miles on it. I am enjoying it immensely and don't want anyone to take this as a negative. I knew that sooner or later some adjustment and tuning would be required and I've already managed to tune the derailleur once myself to eliminate some less-than-smooth...

RX or RX Pro - would you switch?

If you are not riding in snow or sand, don't waste your time or energy on 4" tires. They add weight, they add resistance, and they tap your battery faster.

RX or RX Pro - would you switch?

I don't think you can call the the X and the RX all that similar. The RX is a much more powerful mid-drive and the X is a hub-drive. You need to ask X owners about it's hill climbing capabilities, not the RX owners. We can only guess about the X.

Police - questioning the power rating of your E-bike? or Ticketing you?

Funny timing for this topic, since I was pulled over riding yesterday by a Pennsylvania State Trooper. I was out riding on local suburban roads, and we've been dealing with quite a bit of melting snow, so yesterday was the first day I could really safely ride since the snow had receded from the...

    RX vs RXPro forks

I weigh 230ish and have 600 miles on my RX. I find the fork to be just fine for my usage. Sure an air-fork might be more plush, but I have no complaints on ride quality with the forks, even when I lock them for road riding.

RX or RX Pro - would you switch?

Took my RX with the narrow tires out in the SE Pennsylvania snowstorm yesterday. Dropped the pressure down into the 20 lb. range and found that it was super manageable and more fun than a barrel of monkeys! First time snow riding and I can't wait to do it again. Almost 55 years old and I feel...

Rize RX – Hits and misses new owner version

I rode 32 miles yesterday in temps in the high 30's. Very hilly. Decided to experiment with higher assist levels and rode mostly in PAS2 (ECO) and ventured to 3 & 4 for the biggest climbs. Came home with only 30% battery. I've never charged on the bike, because I have an uninsulated garage...

RX or RX Pro - would you switch?

Yes, I agree, as a new owner it's fun to find the limit of the bike's capabilities. Now, after nearly 500 miles, it feels like cheating if I use anything above ECO PAS1. I could disable and remove the throttle, it's just not necessary for how I use the bike.

Rize RX – Hits and misses new owner version

I have also noticed my range goes up in higher PAS levels, not sure why, and since I'm 98% in PAS1, I haven't investigated it further. I did an 18.2 mile ride in 36 degree weather (I'm 240 with gear) and came home with 70% battery riding in PAS1. I'm pretty impressed with the range...

    Beware the Specialized "Warranty"

Stefan, That has not happened here. It should not have to be a death-match to get a company to honor their own policies. It seems the the Bicycle manufacturers have decided that the components they hang on their bikes that they source from other companies are not their issue and do not fall...

    Beware the Specialized "Warranty"

I am really sorry for your troubles, and others who have experienced similar issues with other major brands warranty claims. It makes you doubt the veracity of the commonly accepted "fact" that's bandied about on this forum that buying a BIG BRAND bike from a LBS is a guarantee of good...

Sub $3000 Leisure/Commuter Bike For Hilly Area [Final Choice: Priority Current]

RE: Rize - Sounds like you know the lay of the land and what you want. I rarely go above PAS1 on my Rize RX, and have only sampled the throttle a few times, but I do like know the power is there. I bought the bike for excercise and to commute and go shopping & it is a perfect match for those...
