Why is SOC blank? The battery went from 60-99 percent and nonchange

I know what it means but I’m just wondering why is mine always at zero On my new bike. Is there a time when the SOC lights up or does it only light up when you’re charging. I see a battery voltage but a blank range in a blank SOC

My new LUNA BAFANG bike has a SOC% gauge that always says zero. Not registering event after my first 20 mile ride where I still have 46 volts. Thanks.

Ok now I am terrified. My new Luna on the way. Should I charge inside the bike or take the battery out? I live on the beach so I’m wondering if Salt air going to be an issue. It seems like charging on the bike would make the battery much hotter. Any advice appreciated.
