My frame broke and the entire bike got replaced by a brand new factory fresh Vado 4. Less than 150 miles on the clock and one of the rear spokes has come off it too! Far from being a coincidence anymore. Thats 2 Vados in a row. Shoddy workmanship from Specialized. I really want away from this...

My brand new replacement Vado 4.0 has now broken a spoke. It came with the supposedly better DT Swiss Industry spokes too. Dont know it keeps happening.

My Vado 4.0 frame broke at the exact same spot. Entire bike replaced under warranty. Clearly yet another weak spot that Specialized are keen to keep swept under the carpet....

Faith restored in Specialized. Brand new 2020 Vado 4 on its way. Will be interesting to see if any of the same faults reoccur or they have spent the last 2 years working on the quality.

Well guys, got the call this afternoon. Brand new 2020 Vado 4 on its way to replace my cracked 2018 Vado 4. Credit where it's due to Specialized. Will be interesting to see if any of the same problems resurface on the new one or if Specialized have been tweaking the quality this last 2 years...

Thanks everyone. I am absolutely fascinated to know what’s going to happen. But the more I think about it, the less sense it makes to move everything from an eBike over to a new frame. Would take forever. Will have a few sleepless nights now until the phone rings again.

Thanks Alaskan! Word on the forums is that Specialized have replaced their entire bikes when the frames cracked. I can only hope. But it certainly doesn’t sound economical to transfer everything from an ebike to a new frame so hopefully this is the path Specialized UK will take.
