NCM Moscow+ from 3x8 to 1x10 and it is awesome!

so - any thoughts on whether or not putting the chainring in the outer position is asking for trouble? I haven't gone 1x10 yet, still playing around with 1x8 but the chainring I have is a bit too close to the frame for comfort in the middle position so I just moved it to the outer position. I...

Known Issues & Problems with NCM Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

FYI quick edit so nobody gets confused. The question was asked for the 27.5". These numbers below are for 29", not the 27.5" I had one go 1000 miles ago and ended up ordering a few of each type to be safe, although I have not had any more break yet. I asked Leon for the specs on each and this...

NCM Moscow+ from 3x8 to 1x10 and it is awesome!

@KuRi your mods are still kind of percolating in my head... how's the 1x10 holding up? Any regrets on it? I went 1x8 this year and am mostly happy although I am missing a the ability to "fine tune" the gearing a bit. My girlfriend needs a freewheel that goes down to an 11T, and a new derailleur...

    Dehawk Dorado+ Discharge Rate

Thanks for the info! I've done a little more digging. It looks like 2C is a pretty common max discharge rate, which would mean 32A for the 16A battery.. so seems like I should be good if this battery has the same max discharge rate. I guess the only other question is what fuse is in the battery...

    Dehawk Dorado+ Discharge Rate

Hi, I have a Moscow+ that's a little more than a year old. I got it with the 16Ah battery. I'm planning on getting a second bike with a Bafang Ultra that uses the same Dorado battery type but the controller is rated at, I believe, 30A, although it might be limited to 25A. The new bike comes...

    Aspen + speed

I'm pretty sure I heard Epic Cycles sells them. I'd give them a ring. As far as I know you can't unlock the stock one other than basic settings (power, wheel size, voltage).

    Aspen + speed

It's a different C7 display. The one that comes with NCM bikes, at least the Moscow+ I have, is locked down.

Moscow Plus Brake Pads done in 880 miles

I'm at 1400 miles on my original pads. Moscow+. I'm in Vermont, but a relatively flat part. Still have some short steep hills where the brakes get a workout but nothing too big.

    Oh oh....it begins

HAHA... the reason I'm laughing is because a friend and I are going through the exact same thing. I build a bike for my GF over the winter. Now I went from looking for a new, larger, battery for the Moscow+ a few weeks ago to digging up bikes that use the same battery so I can swap them out and...

What is different about the Das-Kit geared hub motor?

Thanks. Glad to hear it fits. This is kind of what I'd like to do. If I can pull off 70 miles normal riding, 50ish going fast that really set me up for being able to do anything. If I keep the existing battery that means basically up to 130+ mile range... which might be nice if I ever multi day...

What is different about the Das-Kit geared hub motor?

Looks great! What battery are you running? Is that a Dorado Max case? I'm trying to figure out if I can get get a Dorado Max case on the bike since I want the 21ah too!

Leon Cycle Canada 16ah Battery for Moscow Plus

@RJC I saw your post about the battery in another thread too. Did that battery come in a Dorado Max case? I'm trying to see if the Dorado Max fits in the Moscow without any modifications. I was thinking of buying the 20.4ah battery from FTH but it's in a Dorado Max case, it seems.

Pulled the triger on the Aspen+, all is well

Glad you had a good experience with Rad. My opinion is they can be overpriced, at least considering the compnents but maybe the bike is just well put together making it worth somewhat lower components. I may also be biased though because a friend of mine had a tough time with their customer...

Really curious how those do for range. I can imagine probably really well!

    Moscow Plus battery questions

I don't think any of that sounds abnormal, at least based on my experience. If a full charge is right at 53.0V, maybe leave it on the charger for a 4 or 5 hours after it's charged. That should balance charge. I don't think it is necessary often but may be from time to time. If I pull the plug...

Leon Cycle Canada 16ah Battery for Moscow Plus

I've found Leon to be pretty inexpensive for batteries. Some of their packs use DLG cells though. I thought the Dorado battery packs used Panasonic though, but I'm not 100% sure. It's not a huge difference from ebikes.ca if the $995 is cdn, but I've had my eye on this for whenever I get my...

    C7 Display Julet connector

For what it's worth, I had the exact same concern and landed on a similar item to this. Granted I don't use it unless I'm in an area that's really not that safe, but it accomplishes the same thing, just not as elegantly as what you mentioned...

    Das-kit C7 display - auto power off.

Yeah - there's not a ton of configuration you can do with these displays and that's one thing I've never seen or heard done. I do agree that it would be nice to be able to extend it, but, Id really rather see a password or something to turn it on. Small things though...

    Minimum Tire Width

I've only put 18 miles on them so far so take this with a grain of salt, but I put the Almotions on and am impressed so far. They ride nice and the tread area seems very rigid so will hopefully live up to the puncture resistance I'm hoping for. They better for the cost. They also don't weight...
