    Shimano Steps Motor Vibration

It might be better if you put this in the Trek Brand section...other owners could then see it.

    Warning on chain cleaning

Well, in the world of construction and snowplow equipment, this is a common shop solvent...I've even cleaned my hands with it on occasion. And, no, paint does not melt away unless inundated. Nor does skin, although it removes oils. Perhaps in hindsight not even close to the best choice, the...

    Spoke size on Radrover 2018?

Instead of waiting for the spoke length, I ordered three spares of each from Rad. Order the blue Park wrench.

    Safety with E Bikes

To the extent that a throttle allows a biker with a 60# bike to promptly get across vehicular traffic, in an otherwise delayed encounter, it is indeed a safety aid.

    Warning on chain cleaning

Do not use Auto brake cleaner. Else the magnet sensor ring inside the chainring crank will instantly disintegrate. Instantly, into pieces the size of a quarter...magnets everywhere. Called Rad, who are sending another sensor ring. I need a CCP 22 tooth crank puller. Once pulled, the sensor ring...

    Safety with E Bikes

I believe in a throttle, and normally road ride with mine off, for safety purposes to avoid accidental operation. I turn it on at intersections if it looks like I have to stop. Why? The best intentions are not going to help a 60# bike sprint from a standing start, but the throttle will!

    Spare battery costs

I bought a spare when I bought my bike, with a one year warranty. I'd never use an off brand on a new bike...it would void the bike warranty, for starters. Good quality only hurts once. However, at $1k per battery...ouch! May I assume it's proportional to the overall cost of the bike.

First eBike, please help me decide from these few

I assume you've read the reviews and brand specific comments here...there's a lot of good content...before deciding, I looked for good customer service experiences, because everything breaks, sooner or later.

    City xform to country roadster.

First was the air in the tires...you laugh, but 80#f/90r has its own issues...two inside flats, solved by Velox cloth rim tape, 19mm. Rolls on the center rib of the stock Kenda 2.3". While we're on tires, next year will see Schwalbe Marathon Plus in 1.5 width. Btw, each width (2.0, 1.75, 1.5...

    Crank set change

No torque wrench...just tighten the crank, and check periodically... you're pulling onto a taper. Pedal, any 15mm wrench. Pedals cannot loosen, as they're reverse threaded. Get a set of hex keys....crank probably 8-10mm. Any grease...you're preventing seizure on dissimilar metals, which occurs...

Is anybody using eco mode (lowest assist level) on your usual bike ride? What is your usual assist level?

I actually use Pas as a second transmission, interchanging with the gears in no predictable order. Lets see.. which is good right now on this slight upgrade...seventh gear with Pas 3 or sixth with Pas 2? The Pas 3 lets the higher gear be pushed, but the easy pedalling lower gear will get there...

Sduro Yamaha PW-SE clunky pedal engagement.

Mine gets clunky when in Pas 3 and, I suppose, my pedalling is not up to expectations.

    Age demography for members.

And I will say THAT is the point! Here is a new opportunity and a new sport, if you will, sharing two wheels with ordinary bicycles, but taking it to another level, allowing people who have given up on cycling another chance. History will show how this develops, as a second chance for the...
