    EVG ebike upgrades

Great that you went with the MP5, as I'm tickled with my two MP4's I setup on stock PE 36v ebikes , w/one special wound for high speed by GM. I too use the stock EVG 36v battery box with 12s/10ah multistar's for a 50.2v/10ah (3x4s/10ah), and another 50.2v pack in the original rear rack bag (PE)...

    EVG ebike upgrades

Hey Rad....you will have an issue if you power your stock EVG 24v controller w/a 48v power source, to power the lights/horn, as the controller can only handle around 29.2v! If you do the lights/horn might still function though you will never be able to power/throttle the stock 24v rear hub...

    New Battery for Europa?

Hello Ruth...I have a couple of the Ultra Motors (Tres Terra) Europa ebikes. I did the easy route and eliminated the battery box and wired and soldered bullet connectors and then purchased two Hobby King Nano Tech batteries in one 5s (18.5v)/8ah and the other in a 6s (22.2v)/8ah battery. These...

    What are your Falco settings?

Well...that works. I ask only because I was looking into the 1000watt or even the 1,500 watt @ the max voltage of 50v. I tend to only use three of the smaller or higher gears on a 7spd freewheel, in my rides, and even a single 11t would work for me on a Tidalforce 3.0 ebike around 25-30mph ave...

    What are your Falco settings?

I'm @ 31.5mph level (195lbs) on the original TF ebikes, and can get 39mph on a slight downhill pedaling hard (53t/11t). So....what level top speed are you getting, and @ what weight?

    EVG ebike upgrades

I recently purchased and installed the newest Golden Motor MP4 sine-wave controlled rear hub on one of my EVG PE (Police Edition 2000) ebikes. I maintained the excellent stock front/rear lights/horn and even the left side brake lever to the functional rear LED brake light. The optional LED dash...

    Magic Pie, Golden Motor Kit

I've just ordered and installed the latest GM MP4 "kit" to an older EVG PE (Police Edition 2000) ebike. I'm a fan of the sine-wave controller and too desired to maintain the stock front/rear lights/horn from the EVG. I kept the stock left brake level to keep the excellent rear brake light...

    IGO Problems

I just purchased the latest Golden Motor MP4 "kit" with their LED dash to try out, as I'm a fan of the sine-wave controller. It was installed on an older EVG PE (Police Edition) ebike and am using a HK Nano Tech 50v/8ah battery pack. The hub is dead silent, with no vibration or noise, with the...

    What are your Falco settings?

I've got the original Tidalforce ebikes (1.0)….and too a EMS E+ M-750 (2.0). My interest was in the 1000watt or 1500watt Falco (3.0) version to compare performance. I'm using the max voltage allowed @ 46.2v. What level performance are you getting?

    IGO Problems

Zapata...your "latest incarnation" Magic Pie is a 3, or in fact the latest MP4, from Golden Motor, with an internal sine-wave controller?

    What are your Falco settings?

Falco….or Tidalforce 3.0? :-) So, what model or watt hub do you have or getting ready to setup?

A2B Hybrid 24 Battery Not Working

PCQ….have you removed the battery and put a voltage meter on the OUT plug to see if the battery has a charge, and how much? Remember to push the power ON button. :-)

    EVG ebike upgrades

Bob….the stock controller will only handle around 46.2v without beeping bloody murder. In fact it gets hot and starts to slow down. You also have to consider what the stock rear brushed and geared hub can handle. Yes, you can replace the stock controller, but you will loose the function of the...

EV Global Mini ebike battery replacement

Ron….the stock 24v controller in both the full size and mini will only take a 29.2v (lithium) or less battery. Stock being around 27v in a SLA battery (2@12v/8 or 10ah). And yes, the 24v/400watt rear brushed/geared hub is able to take more voltage, even up to 100%, though keep your amps @ 22'ish...

EV Global Mini ebike battery replacement

Ronald….if you have a 24v mini, then you can only go to 29.2v, and if you have a 36v mini then you can go to 46.2v lithium battery packs. The 24v mini's are TOO SLOW, so update them with a EVG ebike stock controller and use a 46.2v (charged) lithium battery pack, or purchase a cheapy chinese...

EV Global Mini ebike battery replacement

Lupy….even the later EVG 36v mini ebikes used the labeled 24v/400watt rear hub. I've run the 24v rated hubs @ 50v, with the stock 36v controllers, which they don't like that much, so I've backed off and use a 11 cell/8ah Turnigy Nano Tech 22.2v/8ah (6 cell) & 18.5v/8ah (5 cell) battery pack for...

EV Global Mini ebike battery replacement

Jim…if you want to keep it simple, just purchase a couple of 12v/10ah lithium batteries to replace the stock 12v/10ah SLA in your stock EVG bike battery box. Shop price to keep the cost down. :) The stock 24v EVG mini ebikes @ 24v are slugs. Better to update by loosing the stock 24v...

EV Global Mini ebike battery replacement

Jim…it's simple to convert to lithium poly. Do you have the original battery box? You can install the lithium batteries in the box. If not, you will need to remove the side cases, by having the tool to remove the pedals/crank and a phillips for the sides case screws. You may too want to check...

    Falco review…anyone?

Court….thank you. I did in fact read your review report on the Falco. My interest is in the harder core upper line 1500 watt version for top speed. I only need a single 11t rear freewheel & a 53t front chainring to assist in the pedaling. Though a 2wd drive setup with the 750/1000 watt hubs...
