You could do curls with the battery and get a decent workout. It would power that little LED light forever. Also it takes zero to just be there existing just in case it's ever needed to be turned on. There's little reason not to install it.

Update: Sweaty as hell from a mostly throttle ride around the block. Ordered in Jan, arrived just in time for a 91 degree Florida day.

Update: one of the brake pads had fallen out of place and was fighting the process. I used to thin blade to slide it back up into place. A little brake rub now which is annoying, but at least the wheel goes on and turns more than 4 inches.

Yeah I took that off, and this is pre-spindle. I think I've worked out the brakes aren't aligned right, so they were fighting the process. Fucking whack-a-mole with this thing, I was hoping to be on ride 5 by now, and instead I'm googling how to adjust hydraulic disc brakes on a bike.

I can't get the front wheel on. it's like the front fork is just too skinny. With both wife and I pulling we could get one side part way and one side full to the back and the wheel rubs the brakes. Isn't this supposed to basically be the opposite of that? Don't people pop their front wheels on...

AM I too stupid to figure out the kick stand? Does that plastic part come off? The bike isn't even trying to lean against it, unless adding the front wheel changes the dynamics completely but assembly will be a bitch.

I'd be pretty miffed if there was no rear rack. There were lots of options to choose from at about the same price point so there's almost certainly someone out there who chose an Espin because "it comes with the rear rack and the other one doesn't" is as good a tie breaker as any.

Between the fact that when they made the announcement there was a special where you got the racks of you ordered now, and the fact that the bikes we paid for had at least a rear rack, it sure as hell better come with the racks. At least the rear one. Edit: Oops, also that signature I mentioned...

I got an automated call from Fedex about needing to be home for a signature tomorrow, so they must feel feel confident it will get from TX to FL by then.

Is it on the move enough to look like it's actually coming tomorrow?

Got a tracking number for a Flow ordered 1/18. I emailed a while back and asked if I could change from smoke to green and they changed it.

They were just making a joke by looking up the literal tracking number "removed by me"

They changed it mid Feb to say "mid to late Feb" for new buyers. Seems like some of these updates stepped over optimistic and into "we basically know this won't happen". I'm excited about the bike and if it fits my wife the plan is still to order another, but the lack of communication paired...
