Buying an EBR bike in Canada?

And all can be quoted and looked up. There are zero surprises when it comes to commercial merchandise import. The CBSA are great at helping with all confusion. Your choices are either: A. Do what is legal and proper, or B. work with a LBS to satisfaction. Ebikes aren't some $98 Movelo...

Buying an EBR bike in Canada?

Agreed. All you need to do is get into USA to take the physical item back into Canada and do all the paper work in person "at any CBSA office". Curious, how is that working out with borders closed?

Buying an EBR bike in Canada?

What issues? An ebike is not illegal contraband. On the value of the ebike, you pay its federal tax, provincial tax, harmonized code customs and duties, and brokerage fees. A proper commercial logistics courier (like Fedex Trade Networks, UPS Brown, DHL Logistics) are bonded to do things...

    No Power on New Level

I know that I never have to guess when my battery is charged because my Grin Satiator tells me when it is charged.

    Be careful selling your ebike!

So there are dumb people in your neighborhood that lets random strangers try their bike? I don't even let my friends try my bikes. The only time anyone can try one of my bikes is: A. It's for sale, and B. They've first paid for it in full cash.

Has anyone converted to a skinny rim/tire setup?

If you were driving on perfect paved asphalt, low rolling resistance tires @ 100 psi would give you extreme increased mileage. But because ebikes can ride many times more and faster over human pedal power, that means many times more and faster over bumps and bruises. The ebike takes damage on...

HELP - Messed up my Vado SL 4.0 after trying to change rear tire.

This is the norm, and how it has been always since inner tubes were invented :) Only the uninformed attempt to install brand new flat inner tubes.

Made a magnet on zazzle hoping to reduce theft

Why would I want to venture into such a false fake scam of a product?

That's the fault of a clumsy user, not the item.

    Best Wireless Earbuds for Ebikes

Agreed. I'm so surprised no one else mentioned this for the longest time since this thread started. I'm constantly terrified that a biker I am trying to pass doesn't hear my bell because they would rather hear their selfish tunes instead of safety to themselves and others. Earbuds/headphones...

Shifting Barrel Adjuster Stuck - replace shifter needed?

Don't get so attached to any bike's original shifter unless you are in it for original genuine restoration. Any 7-speed shifter will do, and this is an opportunity to replace it with something that may like better, especially if you lack experience of having tried many other types. Shifters...

Why does it feel like The Tandem is more work than my regular bike?

What's the solution you are looking for? There is nothing mechanically wrong with the ebike, and it's unfeasable to double-up with a second motor. Agreed. One of those beefy cargo bikes with a long frame, lots of watts and lots of Ah.

    Bar mount mirror for e-bike

Exactly. There is nothing bad to be said about one of the best mirrors out there.

Why does it feel like The Tandem is more work than my regular bike?

How can you expect the same motor to move something that is 200% bigger in everything??

Why does it feel like The Tandem is more work than my regular bike?

The OP thinks two humans can produce double the power, but forgets there is no double on the motors... Consider those tourist pedal cars where 4 humans are pedalling. Even if it had one 250w motor, it may as well not even exist as the best it could do is replace only 1 of the 4 humans.

    No Power on New Level

The manual explains what is common with many ebikes, requiring you to turn on the battery with a switch on the battery itself, before you can use the soft switch on the controller display to use the ebike.

Ariel Quality and Service - Read before you buy

I don't need this thread to tell me not to buy from them. If they look tiny, if they look like they can hide from me, if they look like they can disappear tomorrow, forget it. These one-man aliexpress importers are simply one step up from a work at home bike flipper. Their already slim profit...
