I don't use the throttle for anything other than I need to some speed from a light or if I stopped on a hill. Old knees make it hard to push the pedals from a complete stop. :)

Thanks @Paradan09 and @Taylor57 Now if only it had a throttle. I'm leaning towards the 7-speed Aventon Soltera... weighs more but also has a higher weight capacity and I am close to a local store where I can buy it fully assembled and take it for any warranty/service issues.

@Taylor57 So how is the single gear? I'm trying to decide between the 7-speed Aventon Soltera or the single gear Rize Fixie. I lean towards the Rize because it has hydraulic brakes but just don't know about that single gear because I find a combo of PAS and gears makes it easy to find the...

@Taylor57 Good review... you wanted that throttle for so long on a mid-drive bike, surprised you went for the Graveler without one. I'm looking at that Rize "Fixie" (not really a fixie) because it has a throttle, hydraulic brakes and is about 34lbs.

Can the controller be changed to a Class 3 so you can get more power/speed on PAS? I don't care about throttle speed, but there are times when I need the assist over 20mph.

My 10k ft take on why Japan > US on this? The general population cares more... while everything in the US is politicized, polarized or just straight out self entitlement-ized. But that's the American way. :) Just like how this thread has become every other thread that mentions Covid.

I thought Omicron didn't affect taste or smell? Could have been Delta. I thought I got it from my son as he's in sports and also likes to hang around with friends... started with a sore throat and then cough and then body aches... but no fever. Whole family got tested... negative. Evidently...
