Are Flat Out, Slime and Stans a scam?

Slime on a tube worked for me. It kept leaking Slime so I just had the tube replaced.

Known Issues & Problems with Aventon Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

If you don't mind the single-speed, non-integrated battery and heavier weight, the RadMission is a bargain at $900 vs $1300 because it has a more powerful motor and disc brakes. I prefer a 7-speed and if Rad made a light multi-speed, I might consider that instead.

Where do you get your bike repaired/maintained?

Here is an example of what my local REI charges for non-members: For members, I think most of the $10 services are free and the others are 20% off ($30 for lifetime membership). Other bike shops are slightly higher and either don't repair eBikes or charge more... these prices are the same...

Where do you get your bike repaired/maintained?

Need some place called Bikes and Burgers... or Bikes and Bulgogi (make someone Google that) near me.

Where do you get your bike repaired/maintained?

Sorry, REI is just an example of a big chain retail store here in the West that will work on any ebike... most other chains/brands will only work on their own.

Where do you get your bike repaired/maintained?

I totally agree with @AHicks especially for independent shops. Not even sure why the chain/brand shops refuse to because a place like REI will repair/maintain ANY bike. I have an excuse... I'm too lazy and really don't have enough time to learn how to wrench my own bike (I can do simple...

Where do you get your bike repaired/maintained?

I've used several different repair/maintenance options since I got my ebike. I've done 2 mobile repair services, 2 different shops and just recently used REI (who I highly recommend for the cheapest prices and they don't care if you didn't buy your bike/ebike from them). Back during the height...

And the bill becomes law and a number of PHEV/EVs are now cheeseless: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/plug-in-electric-drive-vehicle-credit-section-30d

Isn't what constitutes a "real truck" relative? Even with shortbeds you can put longer stuff in it with the tailgate open, a bed extender or just putting it in over the tailgate. Some "real trucks" require "real workers" thus the need for a quad/crew cab to carry the extra people so maybe a...

Just as an FYI, the new Inflation Reduction Act will probably be signed into law tomorrow and that will exclude quite a few vehicles from the existing Fed credit immediately, namely any non-domestic one as the North American final assembly clause is active upon signing...

    Liquid/Slushing noise on Aventure?

My friend said it's their rear brake. He just bought it a few weeks ago so will take it into the shop as he bought it locally. One plus about Aventon vs other brands is there are some local stores selling/servicing them.

    Liquid/Slushing noise on Aventure?

I heard this on my friends Aventon Level. It's seems like it's in the hub or the brake... not the frame, it's a weird liquid sloshing sound.

I'm with @WattsUpDude ... EVs are now... and will get better as more come out and infrastructure expands/improves. The gas price hike was a non-issue for us as 2/3 of our cars are EV. And because we primarily drive the EVs, we only have to hit the gas station once or twice every 2 months to use...

I'm not liking the way this new EV credit law is reading... has to be built in North America and the battery has to be x% material from a "partner" (which may be waived for the first year or two). Probably going to buy one more EV/PHEV (that is eligible for the $7500 Fed credit) this year just...

    Disabling PAS on turns

This is why I like ebikes that have rapid PAS control... if I'm coming to a tight corner, turn or space I'll put PAS on 0 because I would rather have to stop or put my feet down than accidentally accelerate and eat it.

Even if you have a longer commute, you should still consider an EV over a PHEV. An L2 charger at home will get you back to full before the morning and you won't have to worry about gas or ICE maintenance. If you're planning on road trips, then I would consider a PHEV or just a high mileage ICE...

My 1st HUB motor Core-5 vs my old BBS02

Congrats... yeah.. for the cost of a new e-bike vs the cost of a bike and then kitting it and the time and labor... I'd rather just buy the new e-bike. But I'm lazier and not as capable as many of the people here.

Riding the Soltera past 20mph and removing limiter?

You can raise the pedal assist limit up to 24mph: https://support.aventon.com/04-start-riding/04-changing-speed-limit If you want to ride it off motor... just set the PAS to 0 or turn off the controller. It's light enough to ride as a normal bike.

We almost got the Kona instead of the Leaf+ but it doesn't have a 360 camera. I think the 22/23 Bolts are still cheaper than Niro/Kona/Leaf+ without the $7500 Fed credit.
