    Garage door opener

The Flash2Pass receiver can also open from a bluetooth signal from a phone. But I don't need reading glasses to operate a remote. :-) Anyone have a preferred step-down transformer to recommend?

    Garage door opener

I know I could wire the Flash2Pass transmitter into my car's high beam circuit, and thereby free up a handheld remote to leave on the ebike. Or just buy another remote. But what fun is that? :)

    Garage door opener

There's a gadget I installed in my motorcycles, called a Flash2Pass. It is a garage door opener. The way it works is this: Y'know how garage door openers have a button on the wall, like a doorbell, which you use to open the garage door? There's a Flash2Pass receiver that replaces this...

Known Issues & Problems with Liberty Trike Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Just wanted to update and let folks know, that set screw loosened again and the chain came off again at 85 miles. This time we knew exactly what was wrong so it was faster to fix. This time we put blue locktite in there when we put it back together. The blue is the medium hold. I am now at...

    E-biking and MS

I was a hardcore bicyclist in my 20s, and a hardcore motorcyclist in my 30s. But in my 40s I started to have weird issues. First the peculiar awkwardness, then the numb feet, and then poor heat/cold tolerance and then the weakness and fatigue. I felt like a raging hypochondriac for years...

Known Issues & Problems with Liberty Trike Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I have about 50 miles on the trike and just had an issue. The pedals drive a chain that goes, not to the rear axle, but to a secondary axle mounted a couple inches behind the rear axle. Then there is a smaller chain that drives the actual rear axle. This smaller chain came off. The...

    My new Liberty Trike

I plugged it back in at 17.7 miles. It still had two bars left, and three bars kept flickering back up occasionally, but I have run the test out long enough; I feel satisfied.

    My new Liberty Trike

I am at 15.5 miles and down to two bars. I might charge it tonight.

    My new Liberty Trike

I am now up to 12 miles. I still have not charged and I am down to three bars. Anyone know what that battery gauge is measuring? Is it just a voltmeter or is it something fancier? My taller seatpost has arrived and is installed. I still don't have the seat as high, in relation to the...

    EBC Brakes

I have used their brake pads on my gas motorcycles. They are fine and one of the more inexpensive choices. Some types will wear your rotors more than factory pads will. I doubt that is an issue on e-bikes, though, so I would not hesitate to buy that brand.

    My new Liberty Trike

So I now have 5.9 miles on it. Here are my thoughts: The throttle is very controllable. The hub motor makes a ticking sound which is not unpleasant, and gets quieter as you get closer to full throttle. It bogs down on steep hills but a little push on the pedals will get it going. The...

    My new Liberty Trike

Yesterday I received my new Liberty Trike. This is actually my third e-bike. I was a hardcore bicyclist in my 20s, and a very hardcore motorcyclist in my 30s. But in my 40s I started having weird problems with my coordination and it turned out to be MS. My balance is actually still quite...

    E-bikes need more exposure

I am fortunate enough to live on a side street that is the connector between two segments of a popular recreational trail. On a nice Saturday, hundreds of bicycles pass my house. I see e-bikes almost every day. They are getting very popular around here. I also see a lot of recumbents and...

    Wife has Liberty Trike

@MikeDD, I too have MS but in my case it's the left foot that I can't lift without helping it with my arm. My Liberty Trike arrived today. It's on the charger and I am back at the office; I will test ride it in a couple hours and report back soon. I see you posted more than a year ago...

    Scooter Style Bikes?

I own a scooter style electric bike that is closer to a bicycle than to a moped. It is the Razor Ecosmart Metro. It is like one of those kiddy kick scooters only it is adult size and has a seat, and the wheels are 14" bicycle style wheels. It has a top speed around 12mph and the range is...
