Coasting with new Turbo Vado 4.0 Sl eq

The simple answer is no. How fast do you go downhill coasting? Are you riding into a headwind? I have coasted up to 40 mph coming down mountains. Normal hill should get you over 20mph easy just coasting.

2022 Vado: Turbo Basket and Tailwind Panniers

Yes overall. The panniers are well suited for commuting... extra clothes, a laptop. Perfect!

2022 Vado: Turbo Basket and Tailwind Panniers

I got a chance to get out and ride over the weekend with the turbo basket and tailwind panniers. They fit perfectly and I had no problems carrying roughly 60 pounds of groceries between the basket and panniers.

Hooray for New Bike Day: Vado 4.0 2022

I appreciate the info. The mirror I am using does not have a long enough arm to go below or above the bars. It's rather small, to begin with.

Hooray for New Bike Day: Vado 4.0 2022

Actually, I was wrong each bag doesn't fit a case of canned beer but each bag does fit a 15 pack of canned beer.

Hooray for New Bike Day: Vado 4.0 2022

Ya basically just under 4 hours and yes I hit the road at 5:30am. I am still hyperactive even at 53. I was even riding BMX, racing, riding ramps up until my son got cancer when I was 47. I'd probably still be riding ramps if I didn't have to stop (lived in the pediatric oncology ward for a few...

    Turbo Vado Front Rack

True but it is essentially inadequate. The bike isn't hard to ride at all with the engine off. The beeping sounds more like a stove timer than it does an actual alarm.

    Turbo Vado Front Rack

Ya, I hear you. I commute and live in a densely populated city and EVERYONE notices my bike. All positive as there is a lot of interest in biking where I live. But when I ride to my neighborhood bar I lock my bike with two ABUS level15 security locks (chain and folding) to a proper bike rack. I...

    Turbo Vado Front Rack

I just got the turbo basked with the adapter for the rear rack and it came with extra screws and small parts which I believe will be used for mounting to the front. Still need the front bracket which is not available yet. I can tell you the basket is really nice and definetly worth it.

New Turbo Front or Rear Basket on Specialized Site

Looks like it does work with that adapter. I just need to read :-)

New Turbo Front or Rear Basket on Specialized Site

Does anyone know if the adapter plate is supposed to be used to attach to the rear rack of a Vado?

Hooray for New Bike Day: Vado 4.0 2022

I only have a year before retirement and my employer is fine with me being 100% remote, but I can go in if I want. I am just trying to have fun and break up the monotony. I have worked remotely since 2016... the last two years due to covid and in the preceding 4 years I worked from a pediatric...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Does anyone know the part number for a spacer set that will fit the Specialized Flowset stem that comes on Vado/Como bikes? All I need is to add one 2.5mm but they are shaped oddly.

Yes, and there is an outlet in the bike shelter at my place of work.

This is awesome! I love those handlebars.

Hooray for New Bike Day: Vado 4.0 2022

Thank you I will. I used to ride this commute when I was younger on a single speed for a couple of decades. I stopped when my son got cancer (cured now) and hadn't ridden for a while. However, last year I bought a Como 3.0 and rode 1000 miles. On a bike like the Vado I know 100% I can still...

Hooray for New Bike Day: Vado 4.0 2022

It could be possible. My commute is flat except for one steep hill that is only about half a mile long. Once I really have a good feel for how the battery performs I'll see if I can make it on one charge.

Hooray for New Bike Day: Vado 4.0 2022

I just picked up a 2022 Vado 4.0 and the new tailwind bags. I spent the last year on a 3.0 Como and put 1000 miles on it. Now that covid has waned and I can commute to the office again (60-mile round trip) I decided to upgrade. Really impressed with this bike and going from class 1 (420...
