    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

I'll just come out and say it...were the warrantied motors/wheels supplied with the 'upgraded'(?) 2015 version style wheels and if not...should we be switching to the 2015 style wheels (OEM only available?) should our 2014 versions become damaged or end up have the 'truing' issues that Shea, HH...

TranzX (throttle type) drives vs gear obsession (Bosch/others)..what am I missing?

...and oh what an 'assist' it is! Perhaps the above is exactly what some members here fail to understand when trying to help others choose a mid-drive for an electrically driven mountain bike. For example, one certainly doesn't hear much in regards to how finicky the Bosch system...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

Just to add...I paid $20 for (2) different adjustment springs and another $20 for shipping.

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

I'd like to see the BodyFloat guy back in here...as well as Currie in regards to the 2014/2015 model differences (and why) here (post#22): http://electricbikereview.com/community/threads/dash-2015-model-spotted-on-the-tube.788/page-2#post-8359

Dash rider, the first 1,700 miles.

I'd like to know who they were selling drives to 6 years ago..if any of those bikes are still around..or if their customer service was up to par for those who built their bikes around their products: Link Removed I had no idea that these two types of particular drives were making their American...

Dash rider, the first 1,700 miles.

You're right in that I rarely consider what the Europeans are forced to deal with (same with say regulation-happy Californians here) and only speculate as to what at least 'I' would desire in an American marketed product (to a lesser extent) saddled with the same government-knows-best...

Dash rider, the first 1,700 miles.

All good points which beg any further information gained from the manufacturer (wheel issues, etc.) on specific model years to be all that more valuable. A dead horse beat already (apparently)...but given the manner in which these manufacturers are 'subjugating' themselves (Bosch, Yamaha drives)...

Dash 2015 model spotted on the tube.

I'd like more insight from Currie before I replace anything after HH's shop Loctited his spokes two months ago and apparently (at least temporarily) remedied his 'constant tweaking' issue. If they could also please comment on Shea's take (above) in regards to tightening/trueing (differently)...

Dash rider, the first 1,700 miles.

I am beginning to think that I would pay more for an ebike with engineered junctions/housings capable of clamping all wires entering or exiting same. It's awful hard to jiggle a wire and fix anything if this is the design parameter.

TranzX (throttle type) drives vs gear obsession (Bosch/others)..what am I missing?

To be fair, I am not a time-trial junkie nor do I have any experience whatsoever off road on bicycles of any kind. I have an IZIP Peak with the TranzX throttle system which allows one to apply power any time that the pedals are applied and to get going from a dead stop. I use the gears mainly...

Dash 2015 model spotted on the tube.

I re-read some of Shea's observations regarding his 2014 Dash and above where you had to have your rear wheel re-trued 3 times. I obviously wish that those (upgraded?) wheels would have been installed on the warrantied motors (if the following is true) yet perhaps someday/someone will bless us...

    Review Feedback

...my not understanding the joys of constantly assessing terrain/shifting gears in order to properly operate and get the most out of any drive probably stems from my switch from geared to cvt type drive systems and the knee-jerk 'throttle out' mentality that followed. High powered CVT (throttle...

    Review Feedback

I wish that I could speak intelligently on the Bosch, Yamaha, Opti or any other system than the TranzX that I'm used to. My ignorance I suppose lies in the joy I experience from the (throttle anytime) Peak full time boost system. Perhaps I need some correcting on this and I understand the...

...I'm also hoping that having the spokes Loctited solves the same problem on mine (no problems as of yet) and am keeping a close eye on it due to how bad mine wobbled (probably my fault?).

This is the wheel that came with my warranted motor (I think)...I have no idea what was on there originally: http://www.alexrims.com These are supposedly the current choices available (at least) to the general public: http://www.alexrims.com

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

...according to BrianJ there is even a more significant difference in price for the (overseas) Suntour NCX that he had me convinced to pick up and which he believes is more than adequate. Let's hope that all three get their due in any shootout...which he has been advocating from the beginning of...

Dash 2015 model spotted on the tube.

I'd like to know the story behind both of those decisions given that they're integral parts. It looks like the Peak's chain which supposedly was necessarily hardened for torque considerations. Same manufacturer on the wheels...(again) hope that any changes within the same line aren't...

    Review Feedback

When I hear this guy go on and on (up to about 1:40) about how the Bosch system requires you to be in the right gear, look ahead intently and the lack of power for failing to do so...I really appreciate not only the TranzX mid-drive where I haven't noticed this as much (remember, I'm a newb) but...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

I'd really like to see the options layed out someday to determine whether the price was prohibitive or not and exactly what you receive 'technology-wise' for the money spent on (basic) ebike suspension products as you step up the scale. On second thought, if the above resembles anything else...
