It's 50 lbs and I regularly bunnyhop logs and pull the front up to get over a bench or ledge. I don't manual that well but my friend has no trouble manual up and around corners lol - he calls it the wheelie chair.
Hmm my cassettes last about 1k miles of singletrack. I've started switching chains every couple hundren miles, makes the cassettes last. Brake pads? Why do you brake? lol JK, change them often enough every few months I guess. I replace spokes more than anything from riding nuts down trails and...
I've got a few sets of wheels now for wet, dry, street (New lol). The next set I'll get is the DT Swiss Hybrid spline 1501. I got a recommendation from some guys in Europe that they were tough and held up for jumps etc.. I'm interested in the ratchet system as opposed to the pawls.
I definitely...
The other thing about Specialized was the bad taste that Specialized discontinued support and parts for the older hub models when they went to the Brose motor. Specialized just didn't care about supporting those customers. They make a great product yes but their core values obviously don't...
The Intuvia also has emtb mode. It's a software update. I have both controllers and now prefer the Purion after initially disliking because of the smaller information window and difficulty to see. However, after a bit the controller became less of a focus and I look at it less and less. Now it's...
I've checked out both and they both seem to be really nice bikes. In my area Trek has more people used to ebikes and Bosch motors. The Specialized dealers have been following the lead of the local bike groups and not really supporting ebikes.
What mode are you riding in? How far do you want to travel. Road wheels on pavement you can go pretty far in economy, tour and heck turbo in the woods is 15 miles of singletrack...
I ride about 23 mph on greenway/road with my knobbies getting to the trail and that's over the 20 mph cut off.
So I'm not commuting I ride singletrack mountainbike trails - completely fun and way more exciting than a commute imo.
I switched to economy for one part of my ride today and then emtb mode for the later part and it's confusing, my heart rate was consistently higher during the emtb mode than it...
So first ride with heart rate monitor (Wahoo). Works well and yup - ebikes keep sustained elevated heart rate. Quick/slow ride on wet singletrack showed 67% of my ride was in a good place for exercising my heart.

Watch the embn show on choosing an ebike. Or... if you are just wanting an ebike not a mtb try the manufactures websites. Cube, Focus, Scott, Diamondback, Canyon, Pivot, Cannondale, Specialised, Trek, Yamaha, Shimano...
I switched from Intuvia to the Purion on my emtb. It definitely takes the focus off the controls/settings. I don't look at it at all anymore. I like it better riding singletrack but I could see wanting the intuvia for a road/greenway bike.
