    BULLS ICONIC EVO SPEED REVIEW

How comfortable is your TR1? Would you describe the stance as rider-forward or more upright?

2022 Turbo Vado 4.0 Test Drive

On Maui there are two kinds of terrain; mostly flat with moderate short hills, or world class mountain climbs up the volcano (other than off-road). I am looking for speed to keep up in traffic but also to face the trade winds.

Why do the top manufacturers embrace 36 volt/ 250 watt power systems?

Thanks for all the informative posts here. Verdict is in for me; I would rather have a bike with the lighter 250w/36v pedelec system and get a workout (sort of) rather than the higher watt/voltage bikes which seem more like electric scooters than bicycles. I have a gas-powered Max-scooter that...

ICONIC EVO TR 2 SPEED, anyone purchased or test drive it yet?

The ebike purchase quest continues. Saw the recent review here but there are none on Maui to test ride. I am sold as far as brand, components and power train. The question I have is about comfort. I am wanting a more upright geometry. Looking at the bike and considering the adjustable stem, it...

Bulls Iconic Evo TR1 SPEED 2021 review

Looking to buy one of these from my LBS, but its confusing, the 625Wh bike is a class 3 with a Bosch speed motor, but the 750Wh version is a class 1 CX motor with only a pannier rack. Which model is newer?

2022 Turbo Vado 4.0 Test Drive

Yesterday I had a chance to visit one of the best bike shops on Maui, West Maui Cycles in Lahaina for a test ride of a Turbo Vado 4.0. This bike was fun to ride with a comfortable, semi-up right frame geometry and an excellent SCRAM 11-speed drive train. I found the mid-drive 250w specialized...

    Juggernaut classic duo

Thanks but I am well aware of your depends-facts. I was simply looking for some feedback from OP as he owns the bike I am interested in. Do you ride a Juggernaut? Do you have any relevant info about THIS bike?

    Juggernaut classic duo

Aloha, Looking at buying one. How comfortable is this frame geometry? Is the gearing high enough so you keep a normal pedal cadence at the higher speeds? Battery range good enough for using the highest power-boost setting for most of the ride? Mahalo.

Looking For a Nomadic Daily Driver

Take a look at the Magnum Nomad, it's 48v/17Ah, 750w-1500w mid-drive, SUV-Tank for big riders.

Talk me out of a Biktrix Juggernaut Ultra Eagle 2

And since they combine Bafang motors with non-Bafang batteries you won't get batt monitoring info on your display

Juggernaut Duo 3 update with some warnings for big folks (read: fat and over 300lbs)

I am thinking about buying this model, how comfortable is the geometry? I am 6'0, 225 lbs, down from 310 lbs (in two years), so please don't take offense, I empathize with you: This models weight is listed at 75 lbs without the battery(s), Add 15 lbs for those and 340lbs you get a total gross...

Why do the top manufacturers embrace 36 volt/ 250 watt power systems?

Best farting scenario is on a bike in motion cuz your never down wind...unless on a tandem!

Why do the top manufacturers embrace 36 volt/ 250 watt power systems?

SL line looks to be the exception to the rule , but they run only a 240 volt nominal motor with a the 325Wh 48v battery (and claim a range advantage over industry standard 625Wh 36v batts due to their batt being light weight), so not much of a power advatage for larger riders regardless of 48v...

2023 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

If your on Maui here are some fun, kinda flat but scenic rides: 1) I like to park at Kanaha Beach Park and take the mostly off-street paved path behind the airport to Paia and then to Hookipa Beach and back. 2) Another Fav is to park at Lahaina Aquatic Center and ride through Front street and...
