Obviously their are many shades of the same color. I think this is a big part of the reason why most all bike manufacturers only offer a few basic colors and no customs. The expectation based on a website depiction often does not match the actual color as delivered.

Particularly when your advertised 'Electric Blue' color at the point of sale does not match the actual color on delivery, then it's even LESS fun to sell them. Biketrix did make it right with a partial refund, that is a testament to their dedication to customer service.

Most likely so they don't have to cross the bypass road to go down to Honoapiilani at Laniapoko (where this cyclist was killed while crossing), and also to avoid the congestion around the Front Street area of the Hwy. Almost everyone doing the loop uses the bypass shoulder.

The Bypass is part of the famed west Maui loop and we get regular and world class cyclists doing this loop daily. Honoapiilani Hwy feeds right into the bypass.

If we are talking about a roommate's ebike, another important issue is whether or not they follow safe battery storage/charging practices. If you're all under the same roof, your own safety is dependent on others.

Well said Tom, the kicker is that they tell me it’s been issued when in fact it has not been, nothing posted, nothing pending.

This bike was expensive, and they advertise 100% refund on pre-orders cancelled before shipping. I trust until there is a reason not to trust. Breaching their own refund policy and ignoring communications are two very good reasons not to trust.
