    Flying with an ebike?

I love that advice! I have heard that 50% or so will keep the battery healthier for when it's not in use. It also saves battery life long-term. I had forgotten, so Thank you for the reminder. Also your "store in the oven remark" brings back some memories of my note 7. I remember after it was...

    Flying with an ebike?

Thanks everyone for your input. Definitive some good ideas. I'm thinking of visiting family for awhile and was thinking the best way to do things. I might either try shipping it or renting one there (thanks for suggesting that - I hadn't thought about that).I really want to see some mountains...

    Flying with an ebike?

Question for the community: has anyone successful traveled whilst checking your ebike on an airlines flight? I have a feeling it's going to be hard because of the large battery but I was wondering if this was possible or not? Thanks everyone 🙂

How to sell an expensive e-bike

I'm mentioning this only as something to consider, but you might also be able to use your bike towards a new one via a trade in program. I don't know if specialized has this, but I know trek does. You definitely would not get as much but it's just a thought. One thing I'll echo Is being able...

What is your guesstimate for the cost of charging a Bosch Powerpack 500?

I'd like to see the surprised looks on their face when you show them all the math and they realize how little it is per year to charge it lol. I'm not trying to be mean, I think it's just such an eye opener for people how efficient these are.

Your fav trails in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming?

That's an incredible view. I've always wanted to see the Montana and Idaho areas. It just makes you feel like that's exactly what biking is all about - the great outdoors 🙂 Edit: I forgot to mention how nice the mountains are. Those are the rockies right?

    Bosch motor lower guard

Hi everyone, The other day i was cleaning my bike and noticed the bottom plate was missing. I know I can take it into the store to have them fix it, but I first wanted to ask if anyone else ever ran into this before? I'm curious if there is a 3rd party option that might offer more durability...

    Derailleur Upgrade

Thanks @rawlus, I never heard of the Akaso brand before! These are way better priced. They look pretty similar to the go-pro as well :) I'm comparing some of the models now. I think their main Bravo 4 page is not in right now but they have the EK7000 pro which looks very similar. Thanks for...

    Bike Insurance

I might have said this before, but that's a good idea to use state farm. I didn't know they would insure ebikes. I just signed up for velosurance and it's cheaper but I don't think it covers general theft except if you have it locked up properly (that might be standard though but I'm just...

Night Ride at the Local Trails

Is that Johnny 5? 🤣 Sorry I loved that movie and the eyes reminded me of him. Very cool bike and I love your lighting scheme! I wish they had trails near me that I could safely ride at night - it looks to be a whole new experience

    Derailleur Upgrade

Thanks Johny! Yes I'm loving the bike so far. I've had to get many adjustments done because I'm on the shorter end, and even with a small frame I was struggling with that and also how to get a smoother ride which is coming along. I appreciate the advice above. I was just going to say that I...

Looking for a suspension seat post for my Ultimate T10 +

I was looking at one of the Selle saddles the other day. It looks so comfortable, let me know your thoughts once you try it out please. I was looking at the gel type or the SMP (medium) e-TRK. I'm told they are like the Cadillacs of bike saddles 😃

    Derailleur Upgrade

@rawlus I think that would be good too. Do any of you know who I can ask to do this for me? I think my posts started with number 4 in the thread. This could also go into the general or trek forums. Thank you all and sorry for the confusion. If you guys let me know who I can ask, I'll see...

    Derailleur Upgrade

Hi everyone, Sorry I had a question on gear ratios. So if I increase the teeth count on my larger 2 or 3 gears, will that make it feel harder to pedal and help drop my cadence? Would this cassette work with my bike (this one I think Is a little expensive though and again I'm not sure on the...

    Trek Pedal Recall

RaceFace Chester- I just installed these so I cannot comment on durability but they feel nice to me. They are platform and very grippy. One thing I will say is they are on the lighter side weight-wize, so as always it's down to your personal preferences...

Hands going numb during a trail ride

I forgot to mention I got the cork based grips. Maybe I'll try putting on a foam grip and rotating them more upwards like some have suggested. In also looking at a bar raiser but one that isn't too much like a cruiser as mentioned by a bunch of you on the post thread. I had a question has...

Hands going numb during a trail ride

I relate 100%. That's what it's like for me too. And it used to be both hands as well but has been only my left hand after raising the stem. It's still aggrevating having to shake it out so often.

    Derailleur Upgrade

Thank you guys! I'll go through the gear calculator and for now I'll leave things as is and try experimenting with different boost levels maybe. Also I'm in Illinois but I in now exactly what you mean with Florida cyclists and not really having many hills lol.

    Derailleur Upgrade

When you say change the cassette, does that mean they offer cassettes with the same number of gears but with different feel in terms of amount of force needed? If that's true I didn't know that. Ps if you guys would rather me start a new thread I can post in the general bike thread and put your...
