    CCX Voltage

Will you record a video of yours? Because this is what mine does. Now I'm curious if there's a 52v firmware that I don't have.

    CCX Voltage

No problem. I actually made a post about it here: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/charging-to-80-without-a-satiator.24763/post-156543 It's a bit confusing because in my opinion the 9 bar counter on the display is way off - I get down to 20% and only go through 3 or 4 bars.

    CCX Voltage

But that minimum does not go low enough to project a 52V battery. IIRC, the minimum is 42V on the CCS, when 48.7V is 20%. 42V is ~4%.

    Speedometer accuracy?

I use a Quadlock case and the out front handlebar mount for my phone. Highly recommend their products.

    First Ride on CCX

So the CCX has a zero mode, how much wattage does the motor put out in that mode? 250w for eco on the CCS seems like too much.

What do you wear when e-biking?

Exactly. I thought my Giro Savant MIPS was sufficient, but doing more research, a DH certified full helmet MIPS is my next upgrade. Too bad they're pricey, about $250-300. The most injured part of a cyclist is the jaw, some people lose all of their top teeth in the front in a crash. And that's...

What do you wear when e-biking?

The shorts and sandals option was kind of a joke, I'm glad no one picked it :p. I was walking on the road the other day and had traffic passing me at 25-30mph, really hit home how fast I'm going on the bike. You can get used to any speed if your platform is stable, but kinectic energy (and thus...

Locks and Security Solutions for Electric Bikes

Can you charge the battery on the bike? I would get some locking tie-down straps the same color as your bike, some friction tape to keep them in place, and just leave them on.

    Anybody Know about rechargeable lights?

The problem with mounting a regular LED flashlight is that you have a high chance of blinding oncoming traffic. And dedicated ones have features like remote switches. https://www.fenix-store.com/fenix-bc35r-rechargeable-bike-light-1800-lumens/ The Fenix BC35R is a high-powered bicycle light...

What do you wear when e-biking?

My next gear upgrade is definitely a pair of shoes, I didn't know that MTB shoes are toughened to protect toes. My super flimsy running shoes would probably lead to a break in any serious crash. Have you considered shoes with the front ankle piece? It looks like you can also get that ankle/shin...

What do you wear when e-biking?

I feel the same way about the foot/ankle protection. I still use my e-bike to get a good workout, so lots of intense pedaling, not conducive to 9 inch leather boots. If I had a really serious crash there's a good chance I'd break a foot. I do think this is the biggest thing. While it's...

What do you wear when e-biking?

I know this is a touchy subject for a lot of people, but I'm looking for good discussion, not a bunch of people arguing on the internet. I'm genuinely curious, what do you wear? Why do you wear it? Have you had any crashes at e-bike speed? I'll start with some stats: According to the Hurt...

Does rain/moisture affect the torque sensor?

Like Bob, I'm going to suggest a thorough cleaning of the sensor area. I've cleaned my CCS way more than I ever cleaned my analog bike due to the electronics, and the higher speeds it operates at. I don't remember my old bike getting this dirty, but that's probably because I didn't care enough...

Report of my first 4000 miles on a CCS (also my first 5 months of owning it)

If you find a neoprene case for the 52v or another solution please let us know, I'm running into the same problem

Sudden loss of power for 1 second

If I power my bike off and then on immediately with the battery button, the display stays on.

Sudden loss of power for 1 second

By degrade, they usually mean reduced to 70% capacity. In my reading, this problem is usually caused by a bad connection to the battery. You should remove it and inspect both sides of the connection for burnt or melted plastic/metal.

    Help choosing a commuter bike

I have a CCS, it has a built in walk mode you might be able to use to push it up stairs. It does all the other stuff. I think I look pretty cool on the large sized frame in red.

Can I Ditch the Car? Speed Commuter with Some Cargo Needs

It's definitely a pandora's box. But I have personal subscriptions to r/ebikes, r/cycling, r/bikecammers, r/bikecommuting, etc. Not really enough content to waste a ton of time with, just some interesting stuff to me every day.

I use the Banjo Bros Grocery pannier bag with the topeak explorer, it hooks on the rack at the top and has a metal ring attached with an elastic cord on the bottom to keep it secure.
