Anyone put a bigger chainring on their Rover?

It's a standard square taper bottom bracket, no reason why you couldn't. A freewheel with an 11t low gear is another option.

    new headlight

Well, having experience with similar lights, all I will say is they are $11 for a reason, be careful, add a in line fuse, and have no expectations. DIY projects, ebay and Amazon cheapies, I finally came to the conclusion quality lights are a better value in the long run, and having a clear...

    New RadCity

That's totally unprofessional, you went there for a service they provide, not disparaging commentary on your purchase. You should tell them if they don't want any more business from you you'll be happy to take it elsewhere. I normally do all my own work, but last time I purchased tires from my...

    Seat for my Radwagon

Everybody is different, therefore its impossible for one person to recommend a saddle to another. A saddle is a bad place to cheap out on, but one doesn't need to spend a fortune either. Find a bike shop, or retailer like REI that has a return or exchange policy because the only way to find an...

FWIW, those lights are great for off road, but highly anti social on public roads and multi use trails. Think car headlight on high beam.

    new headlight

I think some of that comes from ghetto retrofits some do that are nothing more than "HID" lamps replacing the bulbs in standard headlight reflectors which cause horrendous glare for oncoming road users.

    new headlight

That's encouraging, I find the cutoff requirements of EU standards to be a bit too severe, and rather have some spill as long as it isn't disruptive. The Specialized Flux is sometimes criticized for its above horizon spill, but it seems to strike just the right balance to me.

    Black or White

That's why I went with orange too, but black and white are both fairly subdued.

    Black or White

I find dark colors on a bicycle tend to show far less dirt and grime from the road, drive line, and brakes. Light colors may be better in a dry, dusty environment. Black is especially nice as chips and scratches are super easy to touch up with paint or a marker.

    new headlight

It's a borrowed shot, but as far as photo representations can be, I find it to be a reasonably accurate representation of what I see on dry, light colored concrete except for being a bit over exposed in the foreground. On wet asphalt it doesn't look nearly as bright, but that's true of any...

    new headlight

I replaced the OE Spanninga 10 lux headlight with a Busch Muller IQ-X E 150 lux headlight. the difference is night and day. lights up the road like a motorcycle, yet is a real headlight with a horizontal cutoff so it won't blind others. Also wired it up with a DC-DC converter to power a...

This will help you with the basics for a threadless headset https://www.sheldonbrown.com/headsets.html There are also many you-tube videos that may be helpful. I'm in the transportation business, and very familiar with the limitations of bicycle shipping containers. Basically it's a calculated...

    Best Day!

That's good to know, I have some ugly hills, but only a little over 16 miles RT, at 220 lbs + cargo I will keep a close eye on my spokes.

That definitely would have been a problem for wheels that likely did not received their initial truing and tensioning during the bikes setup.

    Best Day!

If your wheels were like mine, tensioning them at 150 miles was over 100 miles too late. The spokes that broke were likely the ones bearing most of the load when it was loose, once they're replaced the wheels should stabilize and give you little if any trouble. Its not hard to maintain wheels...

    Best Day!

Issues with spokes are from then not being tensioned correctly initially, and/or retensioned within 50 to 150 miles. I narrowly avoided the same problem because I caught it in time. No matter what brand bike, factory fresh wheels out of the box are not road ready. Typically bike shops true...
