Confused Between Electric Bike & Electric Scooter?

If you have hills, I highly recommend a dual motor scooter. If you have crap roads, then you will want dual suspension, but that will increase the cost. Solid tires will be ok if the entire commute is newly paved path. Even those little lines in the sidewalk can be felt with solid tires. To be...

Power hub to power multiple devices

Fixed link! Thank you That charger I have has a USB-C port at the bottom. There is a button on the back of the body that you can toggle the port and the wireless function on and off. I really don't think it is waterproof. I haven't tested that yet though. haha

Power hub to power multiple devices

YES! I used a similar one to what 6zfshdb shared above. This is the exact one I’m using. Here is more detail with links to all the equipment I’ve used.

Power hub to power multiple devices

I tapped in to the 48+ and GND between the controller and display. I connected that to a DC-DC converter like the one pictured above. I had it powering my lights, turn signals, horn, and phone charger. Worked fine. The DC-DC converter was wired after a key switch. So the key turned on all the...

    I have stroke

I didn’t think of that. You parallel the hoses into the same lever and both brakes would work when the brake lever is actuated. Smart idea.

    Add a motor to Hemiway?

The new iPhones can send text over satellite. I didn’t know that until after I got the iPhone 16 pro. 15s can do that too.

Tis better to have mirrors than not.

Cool. I’m curious how you are going to install turn signals. I got a kit and then installed front turn signals. I use the all them time.

Nightly protest bicycle ride in China, by students about their economy, since the U.S. election.

Just the date, perhaps? Rides have been going on since way before the election. The whole title is misleading. Students aren’t riding to protest. From the article: “The "Youth" night bike rides were inspired by a group of university students from Zhengzhou who, back in June, decided to cycle...

Tis better to have mirrors than not.

I believe a mirror is very necessary for someone commuting. For a downhill eMTB’er, not so much.

Nightly protest bicycle ride in China, by students about their economy, since the U.S. election.

I once had an $80 (USD) bowl of Ramen. It had a few ounces of black truffles and pork belly. Momofuku don’t mess around. It was worth it…even if I didn’t bike there.

Please stop charging ebike batteries overnight!

Yes. That’s what I’m seeing. When charging is first started, I see constant AC current at 1.54A. Then it slows gradually until the green light is illuminated. That’s when I see the current slowly drop from .5~A to finally to .033A.

Please stop charging ebike batteries overnight!

I have a watt meter at the mains and plug in the charger. I note the AC current when the charger is unplugged from the battery, about .033A. When the green light comes on the charger, I see the AC current at about .155A. This is when balancing takes place, the time between the green light comes...

I thought the same, at first. Then I realized how much im saving by replacing the battery myself. Like a hundred bucks.

Right To Repair/Modify, Who Owns Your Bike?

Any company is just there to sell me a thing. No matter what it is. I've had this mindset for decades. Once I have it, I can do what I want with it. Hack it, Jailbreak it, Mod it. It's mine. Nintendo, Apple, Micro$oft, Ride1Up, Sony, Samsung....sorry, not sorry.
