"Inventor Who Built 'Wheelchair' Out of Electric Bikes for Girlfriend Starts Mass-Production"

No - we're good thanks. Our solution - a tadpole trike @riley1649 - you quoted my post twice with no additional text. Did you lose a comment?

    eMTB Options For 2024

Locally, nobody has any Giant MTBs in stock. It's a waiting list process and the last time I asked, no actual dates being offered. There's the occasional other brands in stock, but not very often. The Giant process of not allowing LBS to LBS transfer is a bit strange to me, but I don't have...

    The Joys of MS...

Well, it's been a while but my wife's trike is upgraded and has been ridden (albeit just a short test ride). She had her personal upgrade in the fall (new knee) so it was time to proceed. Looks like we are almost there! As it came from the factory, there were a few features that just didn't...

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

We typically still do the Victoria drive in one day - we take our chances on the ferry and have a backup plan if we can't get on. Mind you - we never do that on a weekend , long or otherwise. The MIL lives in Sidney, so we don't have a long drive once we get to the island. When I take my...

    Neighborhood excitement

I think Oregon decriminalized small amounts (some semantics in regards to the concept of legality). Portugal has that too and here in Canada, British Columbia either just did - or will be soon.

Every house that's equipped with grandchildren needs a bouncy castle. Not mine - but a close friends place. Great view of my normal riding location. You can't see this trail below from my friend's place but it's a fun trail - either going uphill or down. It's one of my many entry routes to...

    Interesting Requirements - Electric Trike?

There are tons of configuration options at Mastretta - from Mexico City. Their Website link is here for their Cargo/Working trikes Just presenting an option that may or may not deserve your consideration. My wife has a City Trike - handles well and pretty good components. The tilting...

Using Ebikes As Tools For Meeting a Health Challenge

Throttles make a lot of sense for many people and many situations. My wife (MS) would be lost without one. If I manage my pain management therapies, I don't need one 99.9% of the time. But I see the day coming - certain things just don't fix themselves. Wishing you continuing recovery.

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

Perhaps (historians can't agree) but we've certainly heard it from Betty... and now me... again.. about this time every year... We have one more typical event and that's appropriately, the Victoria Day long weekend (~May 25th) where we typically have spectacularly bad weather. It is what it...

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

Rode 20km on Monday, post Covid fatigue makes the shorter rides the norm for now, but I am improving. It was cool and windy but I enjoyed getting out. Then Tuesday... pics are from this morning... To quote a certain Elizabeth in the UK, "We are not amused"...

Good Morning North America, Good Night Pacific!

If you tire of Midsomer, try The Brokenwood Mysteries. Just as quirky or more... set in NZ in the Auckland area. The town they film in was also used for 800 Words - another fantastic Kiwi show. albeit a different genre. I don't watch much Canadian or US shows other than live sports...

Same here...but will be gone by Monday or Tuesday I think. Thankfully Nose Hill dries out really quickly. Now that I'm over "it", I am antsy to get out again.

    eMTB Options For 2024

As previously posted, I wanted a bit more rise in my handlebars to accommodate my neck issues. Picked up a Spank Spike Vibrocore bar with 40mm rise. It comes as 820mm which is way too wide for my style, so took 25mm off each end to run at 770. May take it down another 10mm to be the same as my...

    eMTB Options For 2024

MTB stuff done today: Put summer rubber back on LIV and lubed chain. Then had a nap. Then did same to Fathom. Covid sucks...12 days since infection (best guess) - thankful for an ebike as not a lot of extra energy at present. Hopefully one and done.
