Juiced support is on the ball!

Great point. An electrical connector grease should be light bodied non-aging non-reactive with plastics and metal The stuff I referenced meets these requirements and so will a liquid like Max Pro. (Is that the exact lubricant you use, Guitartec?)

    Guidelines for Safe Motor Temperature?

My opinion is that cool running can perpetuate a motor's lifespan indefinitely. This is a nominal 110VDC motor, the first mains-powered appliance motor ever marketed, whose original purpose for this example was likely to drive a sewing machine in a tailor shop. Here it is run at very low...

    Guidelines for Safe Motor Temperature?

Magnet wire of the motor is insulated by a thin coating, a varnish. It will last indefintely if run cool. Substantial heat, especially when any moisture is present, begins a process called hydrolysis, wherein a copper-corroding acid begins to form from decomposition products of the insulating...

    the Schwalbe Big One / G-One 2.35" 29'er

It really isn't very much work to crush the chainstays, now that the proper tool is on the way. Got it from Amazon for under $35, used-like-new, three-quarter-inch screw, all the power I should need.

Juiced support is on the ball!

Superb information above! BTW, to folks who may be new to this stuff, all greases and oils are dielectric by nature, none conduct electricity. However, metal to metal contact is made through any oil or grease if the metal parts are brought into contact with each other. Greasing an electrical...

https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/35493675 PS trivia: do you ever think of a screw thread as the lever that it merely is at most prime basis? And what it threads into as its fulcrum? Why, of course you have! I will be cranking on that square nut with plenty of external leverage...

Yes, thank you for that pointer! They have a bit more button height to make them better in gravel. Seems like an excellent compromise to gain better traction in loose stuff. However, for myself, although for the short term I have returned the 2.00 SnakeSkin G-One to the rear wheel, I want the...

    Juiced owners

To my friends and to every stranger I meet who asks about the bike with more than idle curiosity. I explain how the ordering system works. I also tell them I do not live far away and will help them if they have any difficulty, gratis.

Essay: Prevent stripping your bike's threaded fittings

Please add your own thoughts. Sharing experiences and perceptions helps us all, all around. Stainless steel screws mostly screw things to threaded aluminum sockets or holes in the CCS frame. Please beware because uminum is very soft and can gall, flake off in bits. Unlubricated...

Hi Neil, for the same reason I would put even a damp sponge (for instance) in the low oven, or reactivate silica gel or rice or flour or any other moisture absorber in an oven at a safe temperature, to dry it out quickly.

Juiced support is on the ball!

It is best I send 1-4 cable and controller and display to Juiced for them to troubleshoot. Meanwhile I will get fitter than I otherwise would, grin! Thank you Glenn-rod for the help. I have compressed air, a warming oven, jewelers loupe and have dried and tried reconnections without any...

I got an error message and it is already being diagnosed by Juiced, ten minutes after opening a support ticket. Will post results soon.

On the positive, side, the front tire is no issue to fit. The front fender can be remounted over a 2.35" tire on the stock rim, with some relief grinding of the fender center clip and crown. It is fit very closely now, with just barely adequate clearance. (The scraped clip is from the car...

I am struggling to keep the 2.35" tire on the rear and need to do another round of attempting to crush the chainstays with a new and huskier C-clamp. Or should I just give up and put back on the 2" wide G-One Speed... None of us welcomes defeat over small challenges. Speaking of defeat...

Juiced Support - No more chat?

Retired Horticulturalist, may you never to be only retied, as you formerly were in your signature line for the longest time, again. I see nursery plants tied to train them to grow in certain directions. The inadvertant allusion is too obvious to let go. ALL of us fail to see our most...

The intelligence of this forum is natural. You are not here unless you are a forward thinker. I think the logical extension of the wider-is-better trend is to instead focus on an impossible, absurd and imaginary extension of the principle that at basis is not about bicycle tire width. Compare...
