    SuperDelite battery covers

I just bought two 'transport covers' from fullycharged.com at £38 each. One is the 500 vertical powertube cover and the horizontal 625. However, they have the same hole in that the batteries have so you can depress the release catch. I've covered the wholes with gaffer tape. I use the covers...

How to switch off my superdelite HS lights?

To switch off your Superdelight front light, (only when not cycling on any EU roads) do the following: 1. While holding down the light dim switch... 2. Switch on the Kiox 3. Wait for the light to flash 4. Release the dim switch From now on you will have to use the dim switch to switch on the...

    2023 SuperLight R&M: Fantasy thread

I'd love to have the range of the Superdelite, but weigh a lot less the 32.5K. I'm sure the frame could be made lighter, but no doubt it would cost a lot more money. Doesn't it always. Maybe R&M should release a bicycle that is the equivalent to the Honda Goldwing? Have a built-in microwave...

Superdelite pros and cons - Worth it the extra weight?

I went from an 11kg Brompton to a Superdelite, which weighs 32.5kg. It was something os a shock. The Superdelite is an extremely heavy bike when loading it onto a bike trailer and lifting onto a maintenance stand. However, in motion, it's the Bently of bikes. It feels so solid on the road, I am...

    Super Delight Head Lamp

Thank you @PeterL ! I've been trying to switch off my lights for ages but was told that it's not possible. I don't require the light to be switched on when riding off-road in blinding sunshine.

    Super Delight Head Lamp

Send R&M a message. It might be possible to switch it off.

    Super Delight Head Lamp

Yes - it's a European regulation for 'speed' bikes. There's a whole thread about it somewhere. It's a hotly contested subject.

    Super Delight Head Lamp

That is what I want to do. I want to mount it under the carrier. So far two bike workshops have declined the job.

How do Rock Razor tires work on paved road?

@Lumos I've not tried to take off teh back wheel yet. Could you explain the process, as I can't find any info online? I'm about to do a 400 km ride and it would be prudent to know how to change a puncture before I set off.

    Ordered a Charger3

I read a review that made the case for only having 500W batteries. The advantage is that they are interchangeable, easy to swap if your spouse rides and eBike and with the same battery. The extra 125 watts probably isn't essential anyway, and it costs more money.

Why pay the extra for R&M?

Sorry, off-topic, but you chaps around York should pick up a copy of Lost Lanes. There are some fab rides around your way https://lostlanes.co.uk/product/lost-lanes-north/ Way of the wolds looks nice...

Komoot and the new Bosch Kiox navigation

You can use the Bosch eBike Connect app to calculate route navigation, then it will sync to your Kiox for free. You need a Komoot Pro subscription to sync your Komoot routes to the Bosch Connect. app. I really like the Komoot service myself and think it's well worth paying for, but it's not...

Komoot and the new Bosch Kiox navigation

I cycled 75 km that day in tour mode, and the bike's batteries still had over 50% of their charge left. Somewhere on the internet, there will be stats on how much the iPhone consumes. I'm inclined to think it's a fairly insignificant amount of current.

Known Issues & Problems with Riese & Müller Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Yes, it's rather annoying to have the stand clatter all the time every time you go over a bump. R&M need to fit a stronger spring or maybe a clip for when you know you'll be on rough terrain.

    Superdelite Bike Carrier (Thule Towbar?)

I've just ordered a bike rack for my superdelite from https://paulchensystem.net/en/ These were the only racks that seemed strong enough, have a low loader and fit my stupid Toyota IQ. All other racks seem to have bars that you hand the bikes on. However, the frame on the Superdelite isn't like...

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

I agree that the speed restriction doesn't make much sense. Some ultra-fit people on a carbon fibre bike can reach incredible speeds. Should we insist they drag an anchor to stop them potentially going fast? should all car motors be regulated to never exceed 70 MPh? If we allow people to drive...

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

Thanks - I never knew about the longer presses. That's handy to know when I start to rapidly decend a hill

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

On the Vario you must reduce the force applied to the pedals when shifting otherwise you could cause damage or at least premature wearing. On my Rohloff I pause pedalling, press the electric gear shifter to go up/down a gear or long-press to shift three gears at a time. It's as fast as my Vario.

Vario vs Rohloff on Superdelite with GX option on steep fire roads/trails

I had a Tinker with an Enviolo but changed to a Superdelite (GT HS) with the Rohloff gears. I loved the smooth Envolio, but the Rohloff's hill climbing is noticeably better. The difference is mainly in the higher speeds. I maxed out downhill on the TInker at 37 km/h, but have even reached 67...
