Has anyone received their May pre-order?

I did finally get a response from Juiced. Two actually. One was a generic note explaining the fact that the larger battery packs were slow in arriving, and that the bikes from my batch have arrived in San Diego. They expect the batteries on May 14th and the bikes would ship as quickly as...

    Integrating a second aftermarket battery

Sorry for the confusion. I was indeed talking about the BMS, not the motor controller. Am I correct in assuming that any aftermarket battery designed for ebikes will have its own BMS inside the case?

Has anyone received their May pre-order?

The only time I saw a post from someone who couldn't wait, he said they promptly returned to money. I think it happens somewhat regularly based on how the availability of bikes on the site varies from day-to-day. When I was in the process of deciding I noticed that on some days they were sold...

Has anyone received their May pre-order?

That's the only point I was making. Your post insinuates I'm being impatient. I don't mind waiting. I don't like being promised one delivery date and hearing nothing about why the date had to be pushed back. I get that these things take time to build and deliver. I just appreciate being kept...

Has anyone received their May pre-order?

I ordered mine on March 30th.

Has anyone received their May pre-order?

I got this today. I'm bummed that I probably wont be getting my bike until June, but I am very happy to finally get some information from Juiced directly! https://mailchi.mp/7309e1b7f3d8/ripcurrent-s-pre-order-update-2871457?e=96add2e4c0

    Removing rear wheel

    Thanks!

    Removing rear wheel

On the Juiced site they sell a toolkit for working on their bikes. I already have all of the tools in the kit except for the lug wrench with a cutout to allow the motor cable to pass through. Is this wrench absolutely necessary to remove the rear wheel, or can I get by with an open-end or...

    Integrating a second aftermarket battery

Even though I haven’t yet received my RCS, I’m in the early stages of planning a long-ish (130 mile each way) trip later this summer to visit a friend who lives in an adjoining state. Luna Cycle has a selection of batteries which are far less expensive than the OEM Juiced batteries. What would...

First few days with Rip Current S

Crazyworld- Your bike looks amazing. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I might be flattering you when mine comes in. Those Rockbros bags look awesome. Are you happy with them? Anything you don’t like? There is a Cool Change (who comes up with these Chinese companies’ brand...

Has anyone received their May pre-order?

I don’t mind waiting. As I’ve mentioned before, I totally understand there are a lot of pieces in the Juiced Bikes puzzle, and I get that a single vendor can screw up the whole timeframe by being late. I’m merely asking a question. Why is Juiced so cagey with the timeframe? I don’t expect...

Has anyone received their May pre-order?

For whatever reason Juiced finds it either unimportant to keep us informed, or they have a good reason to keep us uninformed. Either way it doesn’t inspire confidence in the company.

    Juiced Bikes Rip Current

I actually opened a ticket last night to ask whether any kind of shipping update was available on the RCS I ordered on March 30th. I know I'm just another PITA for the sales team, but I think it's a reasonable request. The wait itself isn't as bad as not knowing how long the wait will be...

Has anyone received their May pre-order?

Nothing yet. I ordered mine (RCS, 19.2) at the end of March. As much as I hope to see a notification saying its on its way every time I check my email, I'm under no illusions that it will be terribly soon.

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Animaris-Bicycle-Suspension-Seatpost-different/dp/B0727N4YQ9 Best $50 I've spent in a long, long time. I haven't used the Suntour, but mine beats the hell out of any of the tube-within-a-tube posts I've used in the past. At 225 lbs., I have to...

Cross post: question about cassette on Ripcurrent S

A 56T chainring was my first thought, but looking at Court's review of the RCS it doesn't look like there's room to accommodate one. As it is the existing chain guards rub on the cables near the bottom bracket. I wouldn't think a larger, open sprocket that close to those cables would be a wise...

Cross post: question about cassette on Ripcurrent S

The 3t and Capreo were the only9-32s I found as well. It doesn't have to be a 9-32 9 speed. As long as there' a low gear that lets me assist the bike on steeper hills and an adequate midrange of gears, I just want a 9 or 10 tooth high gear to let me help assist the motor to get the bike going...

Has anyone ridden the RipCurrent S?

There isn’t much available yet. A couple of “pro” review videos, and one from what appears to be someone test riding it. I have an RCS on order and I’d love to see some more videos posted.

Cross post: question about cassette on Ripcurrent S

I posted this in another forum already, but this is probably a better place to as this: I have an RCS on order, and I’d like to increase the top speed I can ride at by replacing the cassette (and deulailler if needed) to something like 9-32. Is there a cassette that I’ll work on the stock RCS...
