    Finally ordered my Ebike today

My plan is to use the Voltbike to travel to work mainly as I can park it inside. The acoustic bike will still be used for shopping errands and whenever I need to leave my bike alone. Lot's of trails to explore with electric when I know I won't be leaving it alone. Unfortunately lots of bike...

    Finally ordered my Ebike today

I plan on keeping my acoustic bike as well. Rode 23 km the other day to Clinton from Goderich. And then 23 km back. 1 1/2 hrs each way. I think I will enjoy both bikes for different reasons

    Finally ordered my Ebike today

After being on this forum for 10 months and reading countless posts and watching many reviews I finally pulled the trigger. My Voltbike Bravo is on the way. Looking forward to my first ever electric ride experience. Now I just have to make it through the 7-8 business day shipping wait...

    Slime on New Tires

Tire pressure is a subjective thing. Rider weight, ambient temperature, road conditions all come into play when choosing what psi to ride with. My best advice is to check it every few days and adjust as necessary. It's a given that you lose pressure over time.

Is your ebike legal to ride on Ontario roads? Got the necessary legal certificate?

Unless you live in a big city like Toronto, cops pretty much ignore most bikes...ebike or acoustic

Bike rack activism (let's get more bike racks out there in the world!)

Interesting Home Build using 20V Dewalt Tool Batteries

Love how the batteries were used to look like vintage engine cyl. heads. Lots of attention to the detail on this build.

    Hybrid tires

Directional tires are designed to offer the best grip when installed correctly. Installing them backwards offers less grip not more....

Question for Commuters: Buy an extra charger?

Absolutely not true....a full cycle is a complete recharge from 0 to 100%. If you were to charge your battery from 50 to 100% twice, this would still be only 1 FULL CYCLE. Or 75 to 100% four times would be 1 FULL CYCLE.

    Bike Locks

It's cement not asbestos. And as a Locksmith I wouldn't waste my time cutting open a Sentry safe or even drilling it. Been using a rare earth magnet to open these ever since they went to an electronic locking mech. years ago. My buddy Terry...aka "Mr. Locksmith" shows you how in this 2015 video...

    NASA figured it out

I doubt anyone is going to walk their e-Bike up a hill. For many being able to ride up hills was why they switched to electric in the first place.

Racks don't have to be an eyesore either. Plenty of interesting designs out there.

Looking for a Canadian E Bike Retailer

Looking for a Canadian E Bike Retailer

I no longer see the discount offered on their website either. It was on their "Delivery e-Bike" page. I would contact them and see if it's still available. They might be willing to offer it rather than lose a sale.

Dog walking/running connectors that attach doggie-to-bicycle

That part is called the Seat Stay. This runs from the top of the Seat Tube to the axle of the rear wheel. Seat Tube: This runs from the seat to the bottom bracket where the crank arms attach. Top Tube: This runs across the top of the frame Chain Stays: This tube runs from the bottom bracket...

    Battery and Charger woes

Can you bring the battery & charger to a bike shop & let the pros check it out? It sounds like it's toast to me. Relying on the BMS to protect the battery from severe voltage drop is never wise.

    Fireproof Battery bag

Not sure how small they make them, but a flame arrester vent would be a good addition to any storage method.
