Hi All, There's a good article on www.mrmoneymustache.com about ebikes. Of course, I posted a reply or two. Here is the link to the article: http://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2015/08/31/electric-bike-reviews/ Are you a Mustachian?

Thanks Jim, this is encouraging. I like the dimensions, weight, and other specs of this one, too: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008H2GVO2/ref=s9_hps_bw_g200_i1 Can't wait to see your new bike with the Howitzer trailer!

@Jim, very clever! Since the Travoy won't work for me, I've been thinking about trying to make something with a narrow track. It might work if I could find a heavy duty bike mount swivel clamp with an easy release to attach to the back of the rear rack. But, I don't really know how to build...

I see. I may be out of luck.

@Ravi Great pics... thanks! I may need the rack plate setup from Pedego because I might not be able to raise my seat. Do you know if there is a way to attach the Travoy using the regular hitch without raising the seat?

If the bike rack and existing trailer don't work, here's a thought: https://www.burley.com/product/travoy/ It has great features and accessories, and the track width is only 20". @Ravi, I searched on Travoy and saw you have one. Your thoughts for carrying a musical instrument?

Jim, I'm so glad you posted that picture! I've been wondering if that kind of trailer attachment would work on the ODK, and now I can see it does. Taking your granddaughter for a ride sounds like a lot of fun. My granddaughter is still a baby, but maybe we can do that sort of thing someday, too.

Way to go, Mr. Rabbit! Tell us when the bike arrives. Gear Works in Leominster, MA received and assembled my Juiced Riders bike. They don't carry e-bikes, but they were great to work with for my unusual request.

Thanks for being a good ambassador for the ebike community. I bet your work did not go unnoticed.

Thanks, Tara! I do my best to distribute the weight well. The balance is excellent while riding with a heavy load. I need to be careful not to let it tip to one side when standing next to the bike (when it's loaded) so I don't drop it, since I'm on the small side. It's a great bike. I am...

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

I found this for electric bike classification (in MA): *Has an electric motor of less than 750 watts (onehorsepower) *Has a maximum speed of less than 20 MPH on a paved level surface, when powered solely by the motor I like the idea of being in an ebike group. Is there info on how to find or...

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

Very sensible idea! I looked it up and saw motorized bicycles are not allowed on recreational trails, but they are legally not the same as a low-powered electric bicycles. The allowed use of the latter on recreational trails seems vague. I wouldn't want to be the one to raise the flag by asking...

The company commitment to quality and service are impressive. The Pedago bikes are tempting, too, in a different way.

That's very cool... shift free and pedal assist are big changes.

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

Recently, I was following some bicycle directions to get to a medical facility on my ebike. The route connected to a rail trail and there was a sign that said, "No motorized vehicles." I had not read this thread yet; the sign was enough to scare me away. The funny thing is, the trail seemed to...

Newbie Needs Recommendation and User Experiences with EVO City Wave

You might also like to look at the Juiced Riders ODK 500. Sounds like it would meet your needs. EBR has a review. I have one and I love it. It has the longest range in class and I think the newest model carries up to 350 lbs. including cargo: http://www.juicedriders.com/ Good luck!
