Chris, worth noting that these covers are a cosmetic feature - the bike doesn't require these. With respect to the seal - this is not designed to perfectly seal. Due to manufacturing tolerances some bikes have this cover plate showing more gap than others. This is nothing to be concerned about...

It's the stock Bafang firmware on these canbus for now. We are working with them to make some of those changes.

Unfortunately, all UART-based hex don't work on Canbus unless you replace the controller, but the motors are slightly different so the controllers don't appear to be compatible.
