"At present" refers to 2020 model Specialized ebikes. I believe Sierratim is correct that the Vado 2, which is no longer being built, was a Class 1 bike.

Just called Specialized Customer Service. At present, all Vado models are Class 3 bikes. The Como 3 is a Class 1 bike. The Como models 4 and 5 are both Class 3 machines.

Thanks for your input. Not sure, but I don't think Class 3 Ebikes have throttles. This would be a modification of a Class 3 bike with no throttle into a Class 1 bike with no throttle.
