When I want to run in a store (within eyesight of the bike) for a minute, I shift my Rohloff into gear 14, then take the display with me. No one will realistically be able to peddle the bike away that way, and if they are just pushing the bike away, they can't really outrun anyone.

Based on this thread’s recommendation I got a Speedier lever. Today I use it to replace my tires and install Tannus. Wow, so much better then any other tire tool. Best ~$15 spent!

Just placed an order with Electric City Bikes in DC for a Homage for my wife. They now require 100% to place an order. But they are way more responsive then Ebike Central in NC, where I bought my Superdelite a few months ago. So it's worth paying more now to see if they are a better dealer.

I’d be careful about powder coating it. My family’s business does powder coating and it is much thicker then paint. My Ortlib panners wouldn’t fit over the rack if it was any bit thicker tubing.

After a couple hundred miles the Rohloff does wear in a bit and becomes quieter. Still gears 5 and 7 make the most noise.

On a single 400w pack on my Active Line + (20 mph) it shows/gets ~25 miles on Turbo. On another bike with a Gen 4 speed (28 mph) that has 1125w (625 + 500), and it shows ~55 miles on Turbo.
