    UL Certified Ebikes

I doubt it. There's no way other than certifying individual shops that is practical, and I don't see the federal or state governments funding such a system. But I don't know the regulations on electric mobility devices, either. Are they even certified?

    Tongsheng assist levels

I am just starting to ride my 36V as riding season ends soon .. so I can't/won't offer any real world experience but don't forget the gearing difference between the bikes. What I can say is on my bike lowest boost level just lightens the bike a bit for flats, but doesn't feel or sound very...

Looks like a nicely done kit. A dry bag stuff sack that can hold water is a nice touch, and really lightweight.

I drink coffee in the morning, wife drinks tea all day when at camp, and we boil water for a thermos and for a slow cooker... the extra inch of diameter matters less than capacity.

That is a three to four person bit of kit for a sagwagon that I had, but the silicone sided stuff should be be available in 1 or 2 person sized...cleaning is easy on the sides like any nonstick. But the stainless steel bottom will probably burn stuff... I had a separate fry pan in the van. But...

"Best advice for new ebike riders" from us

Best advice I can think of if it's been years (or decades) since a newbie rode a bike is go rent and ride a couple of manual bikes before committing to any ebike. Make sure you really like riding a bike in your area in the first place. There are many ebikes that are still bikes not small...

What's holding back the e-bike boom? Research, safety, and bias (article)

Yeah. Reliability and price don't become an issue until you start really thinking about buying a bike. Many people don't even consider riding a bike (even a rental) much less buying one yet. Even on here, many of us had motorcycle experience before ebikes became a thing, and that's only a...

"Best advice for new ebike riders" from us

Unfortunately I live mostly uphill from anywhere I might want to go, and my prevailing winds follow the 50 mph highway w/o a shoulder out from my house, so I really need my battery to get home, not away from home.
