    Battery died suddenly

You should check whether the controller is powering up. Locate the throttle connector, a flat 3 wire connector that has red, black and blue wires per the KT documents. Stick some thin probes into the red and black positions with the throttle unplugged. You ought to see about 4.5 volts when the...

    Battery died suddenly

A lot of us know the LCD3 pretty well. It only works with KT controllers, The controller looks like it is under the pedals. Access plate should be on the side, Open it up and put up a clear photo of the controller label so the amp rating is known. Look for evidence of water too. These under...

    Battery died suddenly

Next time, post a link to your trike on the net so people can look it up. It's important give the battery voltage, For imported bikes, knowing the display will help. I noted this picture on the BPM site. They show the KT LCD3 display, Is this your display? You're seeing temperature in the lower...

    Battery died suddenly

Are you sure the voltmeter works? If the handlebar display is powering up, there's has to be voltage form the battery. What do you get when you measure the charger output?

    Battery died suddenly

Usually, the LED is on the same line as the BMS output, but they could have wired it across the cells. You have to turn the key all the way to the lock position so the peg extends to turn on the battery when it's not in the bike. Is the LCD display still powering up?.

    Battery died suddenly

Looked at a picture of a BPM trike. Do you have this style battery? Are you measuring at the bottom with the keyswitch on? The keyswitch on the one I owned is a robust unit that switches the power line directly. There is a BMS circuit card in the battery that monitors the internal cell...

    Monster EBike.,

The guy's reviews sure are loud. Bombing around to test 30 mph on those West Coast California bikeways got to be ticking off a lot of locals. The electronics in the controller were nice, allowing selection of any drive mode, but the whole concept of a bike like that, allowing the rider to go off...

Broken battery connectors on the battery and the frame of my BH Evo Jumper 29 Pro

Soory. Your picture appeared to show six pins next to blade connectors, and that one of the pins had melted. They're not as sharp as your pics of the labels. BH Motion has a big youtube channel and many videos. Maybe you can get someone to listen to your complaint in one of their comments...

    100G-Tech Geeko Conversion Kits

Nice conversion! The light weight ebike is an option that gets very little attention in the industry, I did a 130mm rear motor conversion in the past. The motor width was 135mm with a 7 speed freewheel, but the width was set by a nut and spacers under the freewheel. Got it down to 130mm by...

Used Laptop Batteries to Power an E-bike?

There was a battery fire at a battery recycling plant in Morris Illinois three summers ago. They had 90 tons of batteries. As I recall, the fire department encased everything in concrete. What a mess. SOme of these might have been car batteries. DIY guys were building ebike packs from used...

Bike Market Balance 2023 [Germany]: The One’s Weakness the Other’s Strength?

No. I am serious. It was asserted by our tour guide back then, and if googled, top responses says the main meal is at midday. It also says that about Poland. Did I say you were fat? I just said you guys know how to burn off the calories. Meanwhile 40% of American adults are obese, twice as much...

“Many things have been thrown away that we could have used.” - eBike24/Brose

Have yet to either melt or wear out an ebike motor, but have burned up half a dozen controllers in 9 years. Those cannot be re-used. As for batteries, I have several that I'll never use, but regardless of what Call2Recycle claims on their websites, the local bikeshops only take brand name...

Bike Market Balance 2023 [Germany]: The One’s Weakness the Other’s Strength?

Because lunch is the biggest meal of the day? They need to work off all those calories on the commute home. When I was there 25 years ago, I couldn't believe the size of the dishes the locals were eating at lunchtime.

    Delta Stem Riser Recall

Delta stem risers sell for around $30-40. Generic models are $10-20. I'm using two or three of them. Jeez, recalled for loose screws. I once bought a steel threaded to threadless stem adapter figuring it would be better than aluminum. It's a quill that has the requisite diameter for a stem...

    Hi i have a samebike LO26 v2 (750w motor) with M6t lcd display

Mixing displays and controllers from different manufacturers rarely works. WHile the pinouts are usually the same, the communications protocol are different. They won't work. You might get the controller powering up with a working throttle and pedal assist, but the display cannot change it or...

Broken battery connectors on the battery and the frame of my BH Evo Jumper 29 Pro

A picture of the connectors would help. I have batteries in what they call the Atlas, Hailong, and DP-poly cases and the connectors in both the cradles and batteries are replaceable. If yours are the same, you can find them on aliexpress.com

    Maybe a dumb question but...

Your battery could have a 26x5 matrix of 21700 cells or a 26x7 matrix of 18650 cells. In general, it's safe to charge a single cell of either type at 1 amp, so 5 cells in parallel is 5 amps and 7 cells in parallel is 7 amps However, if your battery has a barrel connector, they are generally...
