    Vektron s10 vs HSD?

If you’re fit and don’t mind working so I think you’ll be fine, but since you’re carrying a little one you might appreciate the extra power.

    Over50's Trek Allant 9.9s Chronicles

Gen 4 is the Performance Line Speed, CX and the Cargo Line and Speed. The Active, Active Plus and new Performance Line is gen 3. I think your experience is consistent with mine as well. BTW - the new Gen 4 motor noise should quite with time as the metal to metal gears break-in. I've ridden...

    Vektron s10 vs HSD?

The length of the HSD is slightly longer and the rack is definitely longer. The Vektron can carry a child in a seat, the HSD will be capable of carrying larger children provided they are under 120lbs. The motor is the same Active Plus on the P9, S8i and the Vektron S10, the S+ has the more...

Citibike set to relaunch eBikes in NYC

Excellent feedback! I know there are many wise men and women in this forum. I will say from my experience the previous electric Citibikes were pretty terrible and I’m not to optimistic about the new ones. I guess it really boils down to the idea that some companies will make products as cheap...

    Vektron s10 vs HSD?

You’ll have slightly more comfort (suspension fork, longer wheelbase), performance (more powerful motor on some models) and cargo capacity on the HSD. That being said you’ll pay a bit more depending on the options. I also wouldn’t see myself using the folding aspect too much so I would probably...

Thanks for sharing! I was looking forward to this post. Btw - I just Learned last week that the COBI software on Steven’s display was a developer version. I’ll be doing another video soon with the consumer version. Sorry if that was misleading.

Citibike set to relaunch eBikes in NYC

So Citibike is set to relaunch in NYC after multiple injuries due to improperly spec’d brakes and poor quality batteries. As much as I’m not one for regulation. Do we need some form of regulatory body to inspect these devices before they are released to the public again? I know this is a...

Over50's Tern Vektron S10 Chronicles (Gen 1 and Gen 2)

I actually have a Vektron D8 in the shop for testing. The motor performs nicely and frankly better than I expected. My main concern would be long term reliability and availability of parts. I'll probably sell this one off and not bring another one in for that reason. I've been in a position...

    Video: Gazelle Ultimate t10 Review

Fortunately, you can upgrade to the Intuvia and soon the Smartphone hub if you'd like. Gazelle had some trouble with the Intuvia on their older models due to the shape of their bars so I think they are trying to avoid that again. It also keeps the price down a bit more. I do think this bike...

Why do the Dutch not wear bike helmets?

Yes and to be clear you are required to wear a helmet on speed Pedelecs. I think most scenarios of riding in the states should include a helmet, it’s just nice to see what’s possible with the right infrastructure and culture.
