Riding my bike, stopped for a beer, then met a one-armed Indian man on the steps of the church.

I went for a bike ride this evening around 6PM. It was a beautiful evening, the sun setting, low in the sky, sunlight streaming through the beautiful trees, ligting up the green grassy banks and hills along my route. The air was clean and moist, it was a perfect evening. After 30 minutes, I was...

    Added a 2nd integrated battery to my Luna Z1: 48V, (17.5ah) + (17.5ah) = 35ah!

I presume they have an internal battery balancer. Of course cannot tell unless I saw documntaiton. You shold be able to splice cables, yes.

Chain degreasing and skipping on smallest cog

I agree with Juggernaut, your derailleur should be at 5 o'clock while on the largest cog. That might help if your chain were tighter.

    Knee Protection on the Trail

Clarification: These (above) instances were all situations where my bike did not collide with anything. They were rain, ice, loss of traction instances where my bike went down sideways, in a flash, on concrete or grass, and my position on the bike never changed. The handlebar, pedal, and helmet...

This horn is the loudest bicycle horn I could find. It works very well in traffic. 140dB. https://us.hornit.com/products/v3-db140

    Knee Protection on the Trail

I agree. The few times I have fallen and managed to keep my feet on the pedals, knees in, hands on the grips, I've come a way relatively unscathed. My elbow pads helped too.

    Knee Protection on the Trail

I'm 64. Started riding bikes daily four years ago. Since I got my emtb three years ago, I've been riding aggressively on a daily basis. I want to minimize any damage if I fall. I fell often a few years ago as I was learning. Broke my ribs twice. I don't fall anymore but maybe once a year. I want...

    Got pulled over by cop.

I have ridden on the lawn and grounds around the US Capitol building in Washington D.C. a few times. First time, just after the Jan-6 kerfuffle, I stopped to talk to a bunch of U.S. Capitol Police gathered out front. They asked me if my bike could climb the steps of the Capitol Building? I said...

    Got pulled over by cop.

I woudnt get far riding drunk. But after a "hit" or two, my riding is very graceful.

    Got pulled over by cop.

Actually Mike, he was about 5 feet away from me at all times, so no, he couldn't smell my beath. He did't ask for my name or ID, which I found odd, and never asked me to dismount my bike. He didn't do the normal things an officer does to establish contol of the encounter. I don't think he even...

That about sums it up! Once I get on that bike and start rolling to some fast tempo music, I feel like kid again! My Playlist starts out: Danger Zone - Kenny Loggins Shut Down - Beach Boys Sultans of Swing - Dire Straights (Alchemy Live) On Her Majesty's Secret Service - James Bond Theme...

    Safe to use?

Sounds good. I am curently running two 17.5Ah batteries on my Luna Z1 w/Bafang Ultra. I used a battery balancer so I run with both of them on at the same time. Before the battery balancer, I used them as swap-outs. Sure feels goof to have all that juice.

    Safe to use?

If you can make the additional cable, to plug your battery into the port it will work fine. You probably wont get all of the juice out of the 48V battery due to LVC limit in the controller. You should get a lot more range. Running 48V won't have a damaging effect on your system. Your 52V battery...

    E-Bikes On Legal, Paved Trails

My speed sensor went bad about 11 months ago, so my throttle doesn't work. With torque sensing, I haven't missed my throttle one bit.

    Safe to use?

What Slaphappy said is true. You've got a BMS in the battery I presume, but the LVC in the controller is programmed for a 52V battery and will cut off your 48V Battery sooner than normal. If you are able to program your motor controller you may be able to adjust that. a 48V battery will not...

Original post, updated He was mad hot. In a calm and measured voice, I said: “Well, I’ve been doing this run for four years since I got my bike during the pandemic. Each day, I’ve gained more strength, and developed new skills incrementally. Each day I tend to push the limits just a bit more...
