    My UC Pro has arrived

yeah that won't be good with this motor... that's too far out of alignment... I can see that increasing the chance of chain skipping, gears changing etc etc... Hopefully Pushkar can provide a different chainring spider to pull that chain line further out.

    My UC Pro has arrived

Can't help you with chain crossing... sounds like an alignment issue, but with the chain skipping its worth thinking about. My first cassette lasted less than 200 miles. Skipping from day one. My 2nd cassette is nearing 2k miles and no issues.

    My UC Pro has arrived

Looks great! .... In the last photo it looks like your derailleur clutch is off.. If you flip the grey switch up (on) it will tighten up the chain a little which helps with the skipping in smaller cogs. Sometimes removing a couple of links from the chain can help too...

Speed Versus Newton Meters? I'll take Torque.

If you're not after more speed then I'd just get myself a nice wide cassette and get more "torque at the wheel"...

    Hand signals

I'm from the UK and there are a multitude of hand signals. More than I can remember. You're right there is one for straight ahead. I remember reading about some of them on this site. https://www.cyclescheme.co.uk/community/how-to/how-to-signal • Right hand held up from the elbow, palm forward...

Is a GPS tracker truly effective?

Did you delete your reply @VoltMan99 Don't worry I saved it for you... and yes, you should feel ashamed of yourself.... pathetic excuse of a man. Started googling me because I dared to reply..... What a guy.

Is a GPS tracker truly effective?

That's a weird reply... Very strange. Definitely a bit of a slunt.... Luton, sheep???? Are you thinking of Wales???? The joke is the Welsh are sheep shaggers. But as we can see, you also have sheep on the brain.

Is a GPS tracker truly effective?

Don't give me a passive aggressive "ok, and".... do your own googling....

Is a GPS tracker truly effective?

Forget GPS in these cases, its an RF signal you want... The RF signal is important because it allows you to find it with a good pinpoint accuracy, and as such you can be highly certain which property contains the bike. But with GPS, there is always the element of doubt as its not perfect...

Abus Granit Xplus 540 U-lock experiences?

If they're using an Angle Grinder to cut through the lock then almost nothing can stop the thief. That said, the 540 is a good lock and should prove quite difficult - frankly impossible - to cut with bolt cutters... but its not as strong or thick as the Fahgettaboudit. The Fahgettaboudit Mini...

    Anything on Canbus protocol yet

Nobody is using loopholes to evade customs as such, but its well known that Customs can't check every parcel coming into the country. Only something like 2-4% of all parcels are checked by Customs, so its regarded as unlucky to pay given the odds are in your favour. (Should note that most items...

    Anything on Canbus protocol yet

I'm starting to wonder about your impression of Europe Tom. This is one of the most regulated places in the world - we even have to pay for a TV licence in the UK :oops::).

    Anything on Canbus protocol yet

Smooth tune doesn't dispense with the X1 controller, it tames the beast but it still has some shortfalls, the X1 controller will be the better option.

    Anything on Canbus protocol yet

Now you're acting obtuse Tom. No, I'm not saying that... I'm saying the main thing people care about is price. All of these other concerns are for the supplier, not the customer. I'm all ears if you think WW is adding extra value in comparison to Innotrace themselves, but I don't see it. There...

    Anything on Canbus protocol yet

Not a moot point...Nobody cares about import duties or compliance issues. I can guarantee you this is costing sales, and adding to that is frivolous charges for things like Software updates. Innotrace might not ship to US, but with such a price difference, you can almost fly it yourself! Get a...

    Anything on Canbus protocol yet

I think the Watt Wagons offering is a tad expensive. Especially when you add all the extras you'd want - like software upgrades and a 2 year warranty. The WW X1 is $799 for a 2300w version. Its $1,099.00 if you include the upgrades and warranty. This is before taxes and shipping too. That's too...

    2019 Frey Fat AM1000

Frey bikes come with "throttle-from-zero" disabled. I had to explicitly request mine to be enabled. Powerful machines can have an "abrupt" start if you wide open the throttle, its often a selling point rather than a point of contention, but it does require the proficiency of the rider to match...
